Waterline to shop, valve box or "Y" off the meter?

Unless you have a large home or large family. I think you would be fine keeping the 5/8" and running 3/4" to the shop assuming you don't have a large demand there as well.

Waterline to shop, valve box or "Y" off the meter?

Re: Waterline to shop, valve box or "Y" off meter I would tee off the meter. Tapping in a few feet beyond may provide more efficient flow but I doubt it would be enough to worry about. Make sure you valve the junction so if your shop line gets damaged, you can isolate it and remain in service...

Anyone have good examples of a tidy way to run air lines through a wall?

First thing that comes to mind is escutcheons. The chrome plated ones will rust though.. Aybe buy the plastic type for copper line and apply a stucco finish to them and paint to match.

    How fussy is too fussy...

I use contractors as a last resort or when it's a skill I don't want to invest in. Had engineered hardwood installed, only because I was working out of town. I did the research with intentions of doing it myself but I worked 21 days a month in the field and the wife was getting tired of cement...

    Amazon Warehouse Deals

I bought the cox reels retractable electrical cord offered a few pages back. I received the manual wind 1/2 hose reel instead. Complete with missing handle, hose hold down ubolt and a seized hose swivel. This is the second reel I've bought from AWD, the hose reel I bought before went back...

    Radiused Wrought Iron Railing Fabrication

I get it. I put my front yard in last summer and would not let the dog on the turf unsupervised until it was established fully.

Easy way to cap square tubing?

I only just started TIG welding. The most satisfying thing so far has been fusion/autogenous welds. Cut the cap roughly the same size as your tube and melt the two together. I could do each cap in less than a minute easy.

Restored my first sheet metal tool. Pexto Finger Brake

Nice stuff. I need a shear sooner than later. If only my shop was about two or three times the size. These little brakes sure are heavy for their size. I bet the big 48"+ shears/brakes weigh a ton.

Restored my first sheet metal tool. Pexto Finger Brake

Thanks for the comments. I am going to make some shallow drawers for my welding carts and a few for an upstairs vanity. I have some firewall work to do on a project car as well. It will come in handy once I get the hang of using it i'm sure.

Restored my first sheet metal tool. Pexto Finger Brake

Sorry, still trying to master the html codes. I did end up finding the blue Hammerite in gallons after the paint was on... the one store I didn't look, good ol' ACE Hardware. I may have to mix some paint to get my press close to the original color so the thought has crossed my mind.

Restored my first sheet metal tool. Pexto Finger Brake

I have been wanting a brake for years and have finally bought one to compliment my TIG welder. I found this Pexto PX24 for $500. More than I wanted to spend but this one had all the fingers and original handles etc. It didn't come with the backstop however to set the material depth for...

    Removing engraved metal

Other than being at a slight angle, I think Raymond did a fine job with his engraver. That engraving isn't going anywhere without a lot of filling, milling or sanding then a re-blue. Not to mention the other engravings are going to be washed out and shallow once the offending engraving is...

Are there any coupons for the 44" Roller Cabinet at the moment. I have done some googling but have come up with nothing. I don't frequent HF so I do not get the mailers. Thanks in advance.
