Show us your Vintage Automobile Paraphernalia

I boxed and removed a bunch of stuff from out 1940s service station ahead of demolition. I knew what and where most of this stuff was. A few years ago and over 50 years later, I went through the boxes and found an unopened SnapOn tester. I gave it and all of the plugs, points and condenser...

Well boys, say goodbye to the red cans of brake cleaner

I read the attachment several times and I found the contained information contradicts itself more than a few times. From mu experience the solvent is flammable.

Lots of condensation in unit heater venting

You can expect your heater to produce a liter of condensation for every equivalent amount of fuel.. The exhaust at the heater should be a little higher than the far end of the horizontal pipe. The condensation is a product of combustion, nothing else.

    Rotisserie

This took a while. A generation may have passed. I still have this rotisserie. the drive for the rotisserie is a HALDEX automatic slack adjuster. I made a few wimple mods. The worm 21/1 drive holds the rotisserie when the crank stops. It is very stable. The casters are, ALL-GOOD.

    How did it happen?

I went for a visit and BROKE out laughing when my friend showed up. I cannot show the picture he does not know about. He showed up in his yard, naked and riding an Harley Davidson golf cart.

    Nice old camel back

I had to build the lift crank and the quill gear guard. I decided to build a motor house on the base. the flat belts came from Hit and Miss Enterprises. I like the segmented red belts. (at the back) Picture 2 is a remake of a bent shaft. The shaft had to be turned to size because the 100 year...

    Build a tachometer for a 4bta Cummins

If you copy what I did, I would feel honored. Make sure you post pictures so others might learn something from your design. You posted, "my next Cummins conversion." Show your "Mini" Tool Box.

I have 4 of them. They became residents here as part of a deal. I had several Kennedy. I sell Kennedy because I do not like the colour. The Kennedy boxes were made by BEACH, in Canada.

    Build a tachometer for a 4bta Cummins

I paid much more than the real value of this tachometer. I wanted this and few are available, so the collision of two realities made the price what I paid. A local print and sticker shop is going to reproduce the colorful face of this tachometer so I can have extras to convert the extra SW...

    Build a tachometer for a 4bta Cummins

Sorry for a late reply. If every person were as positive as you, their suggestions would be welcomed. I am eyeing the crate engine 2.8 liter. I am considering installing a 2.8 in my 1940 Ford.

Shop Vac storage ideas for small garage?

Kicking mine around. Were you the guy walking on Kitsilano Beach? There were the usual footprints in the sand and the mysterious drag mark between the foot impressions. Two elderly residents from an assisted ling near the beach spied the impressions in the sand. One Granny said WTH? The other...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

You are telling my story. Even the motorcycle is the same model. It was an overcast day today. I stayed inside at my desk and looked longingly at the garage. I have a list of things I want to check on. I don't like hearing, "At least, you are still alive! Alive has a rather loose connection to...
