I am obsessed with vintage woodworking benches ..I am always hunting for them.....let's see some pictures...I will go first...these are a few of mine

I held the idea of owning a proper chefs chopping block, for years. I finally got lucky. Many big kitchens were changing to boxed meat and moving away from hanging meat. Employee theft of product was the catalyst. I had just opened Craigslist and there it was. I called immediately and an hour...

What is this do on my air compressor?

Put it back together, I would suggest that you take a pressure reading where the air outlet to the shop is. Life in the shop goes better when you keep your workspace in order. I like to have a shop cart close by.

    Stuck tap

Do not waste your time and money on those multi=fingered tap removers. I can say, "I have never had one work as advertised. A good heat source can be your TIG torch. This allows the heat to be controlled to a very small area.

My 1929 South Bend 9" lathe

If you use that lathe it will change your shop time for the better. The next machine you might look for is a milling machine.

My 1929 South Bend 9" lathe

I found and bought three of the original South Bend, "How to run a lathe." These are often easy to find, for sale. Interesting side: One of the How to run a lathe books was free to me. I found it in their stock with Google. The book store owner had posted it about 10 years earlier and forgot...

    1952 International pick-up misc.

I understand how you feel. I rather like the shape of the Old Binders, so when I am finished with one of them all that is left is the cab, box and seat. I have installed, Vintage Air, power windows, tilt power steering, 4X4, and Bendix brake booster. and Diesel-automatic. Full air spring...

Why do Scotchlocks have such a bad reputation?

If a person needs a few good reasons to not use these connectors. Visit Watch Wes Work on You Tube. I will never use them. I have every one fail as a corrosion point.

What would be a good beginner welding unit?

I doubt that I will be upgrading to new and more capable welders. If I were 15 years younger I would buy welders with the pulse option. I have tried welding with a few economy welders and I did not like any of them. I have 2 retired welder friends, now retired, They refuse to try welding with...

Battery crimper and top post connectors

I got a simple battery cable crimper from the heavy cable supplier. I use it in an arbour press. This crimp tool is just OK. I would say it is at 40% for finish. I solder my connections.

What would be a good beginner welding unit?

A better machine will help the operator's work to look better. Stay away from budget flux core. These are not for new operators. Miller is always my first choice. My first Miller was a MILLER MATIC 200. I got it to cover the cost of paying off an account that was in in default. If a person can...

school me on air brushing kits

This may be an option for a spray kit that puts out more paint than Paasche. It came off a MAC TOOL truck. It was a gift to me for some repairs I did on a friend's HD.

school me on air brushing kits

I would suggest that you place an inline small tank and regulator after the main tank. Thie should reduce or eliminate the pulsing in the air supply line. There was time when the rebuild and service kits for big trucks air dryers came with a small tank. These one gallon tanks were not used. I...

    Air Line Crimp Tool?

I bought the MASTERCOOL hose crimper on AMAZON. I applied a coupon and I got a significant reduction in the price. I have had the crimper for several years and I have not had a chance to use it, yet. This is my second Mastercool tool. The flaring tool works really well. I have used the flare...
