Any 4 Post Lift Owners Looking To Add An Inexpensive Rolling Jack?

Compared to my after sale experiences Advantage Lifts, it is obvious that Challenger Lifts has horrendous customer service. If it comes down to you having to do the work yourself, Harbor Freight has a 10% no exclusions coupon right now. I'd be tempted to just go buy 2 of their air/hydraulic...

Any 4 Post Lift Owners Looking To Add An Inexpensive Rolling Jack?

Well that is disappointing to say the least. Challenger Lifts has a FaceBook page. I think it might be time to post pictures of those leaking pump cylinders there and asking when you can expect that service call they promised. Keep it polite but be firm. Social media can be a good motivator for...

Over 10K for a patio door installed

I'm a bit suspicious of window makers/sellers. Our home was built new in 2017 and already these Andersen & Pella peeps are coming around and trying to convince us its time to replace the windows. I'm curious, do they really think I look stupid? I mean sure, I did fall off of the tortellini truck...

As easy as the fix might be by just tightening the end cap; DO NOT PUT A WRENCH ON IT. The Challenger warranty statement that came with mine says "In addition, this warranty does not cover equipment when repairs have been attempted or made by anyone other than a CLI authorized service...

Improving visibility for driving on/off 4 post lift

Most of our cars easily fit on the runways with room to spare, I just line up between the first two posts, ironically, using the side view mirrors, to gauge if I'm even. My old '88 C1500 might hang off of the ramp on either side by an inch if I don't get it perfect...in which case I just back...

Any 4 Post Lift Owners Looking To Add An Inexpensive Rolling Jack?

See my edits above. Yes, I'm also hoping it is nothing major. They did come with a 1 year warranty and Challenger is a reputable company so they should have no problem standing behind the units. Make sure you go on the Challenger site and register the warranty for each.

Any 4 Post Lift Owners Looking To Add An Inexpensive Rolling Jack?

No drips on my floor. I'll have to look again at the base where the hand pump is mounted on the Challenger, but it was dry the last time I used it. Edit: I went and looked, the tray where the pump mounts is dry. There was one tiny drip of oil clinging to the bottom of the jack cylinder...

Advantage Lifts 9000 XLT extra parts, where do they go?

I have a 2 year old XLT and haven't seen those. But they look like they could be stops to keep a rolling jack from going too far to the front or rear of the lift?

I'm really glad to hear the Challenger rolling jacks also worked out for you! They are an exceptional value at that sale price. I went back and looked at my invoice from Advantage in September 2018 when I paid $700 for their air powered rolling jack. When I started to consider adding a second...

I'm curious why you added the rubber pads. In 2+ years of use, mine has slowly "walked" an inch or so on my very smooth epoxy floor. Do the rubber pads prevent that?

I think about 3 1/4" to 3 3/4" depending where it is at fore/aft on the lift and any high/low spots on the concrete floor.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I'd say it depends on how many hours a day and how hard you push them. I've got a couple of the $9.99 HF grinders, one almost 15 years old, and they do as good a job as the MUCH more expensive Milwaukee grinder hanging next to them. Is the Milwaukee nicer? Sure, a little. It was also a whole...

Any 4 Post Lift Owners Looking To Add An Inexpensive Rolling Jack?

@bigbrand0105 A grinder will work just fine, provided the grinding wheel is large enough to reach the bottom welds under the guide plate. I have a mill just sitting there and it was easier on my old arthritic hands so I used it and then an angle grinder to clean up the remainder. (my hands...
