    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I just spent 5 minutes staring at photo next to your name. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Harbor Freight FINALLY Released a 72" Top Chest

I slapped a 26 & 44 on top of my 72 roller. I liked the combination of the different drawer depths; lots of shallow ones on the 26 and deeper ones on the 44. Now it turns out that I saved my self a bunch of money too!:D

Lug nut thread lubrication - what do you use?

I apply a thin film of unicorn tears to the studs AND the nuts using the tail feather of a tetradactyl. I've never had a wheel fall off but once had a sidewall punctured by a dragons claw. But that probably would have happened even if I put the tire on with dry threads.

Has anyone bought one of the ICON tool boxes

The boxes look awesome! But I'm more jealous of your overhead crane.

    compressed air kits

I looked at the Rapid air type kits and came to the same conclusion that you did about the exorbitant prices for any spare fittings. So I priced out using ¾" type L copper and the pipe itself really wasn't terrible...I seem to remember $18 a stick? But most especially the fittings were actually...

Lift installer to stay away from in Roanoke Virginia Area

I paid $400 to have my Advantage 4 post lift installed a little over 2 years ago. They hauled it to my shop from the freight yard, assembled it, filled it with oil they provided, showed me how to use it and cleaned up the packing materials and hauled them off when they left.

    Bed Cover

I have had 2 Gaylord bed covers. The first one I still have and it is 32 years old (same as the truck) and neither ever gave me a problem. Nice covers, decent security, not terribly hard to remove if you need an open bed. https://gaylordslids.com

Looks great, but can I ask why you mounted it with the door opening that way?

Used 4 post lift pricing and logistics?

The Direct Lift dealer here in Phoenix prefers to assemble new 4 post lifts at their facility and they routinely use flatbed tow trucks to deliver them. As to a fair price? That is whatever number the two of you can agree upon.

I saw a similar announcement from the other side about 3 weeks ago on Advantage Lifts FB page so it sounds legit.

Help me fly Old Glory (flag mount on stucco house)

I have a flag mounted on our stucco house. The plastic mount eventually succumbed to winds and our relentless sun. When it broke, I was bummed to see the flagpole had slightly damaged the stucco because the mounting hole for the pole went all the way through. The wind had jiggled the flag enough...

New Direct Lift Owner - Have some Questions

A little bit of overhang (like 2" per side) is not a problem for lifting your truck. I lift mine all the time on my 4 post lift. It might not be ideal for long term storage though, as it might give you some weird flat spotting on your tires. Congrats on your new lift!

    Tools for old age....

The best tool for old age is to keep a young body around to do the heavy lifting. Lacking that, I have added much bright light, a hoist, a lift table, a 4 post lift and a motorcycle lift. Sadly, due to bad allergic reactions, I can't take NSAIDS. So I just gotta live with the pain and decide...

HF US General 72" top chest

I'm not seeing any reference in that letter to a new 72" top box? It clearly states a new 72" roller cabinet is coming and the new display models will be in green.

    Lift questions in Northern VA

I'd rather buy the lift I really want vs. the one that someone will deliver to my door. Most every lift seller will drop ship to a nearby freight terminal. You should be able to rent a U-Haul/Penske/Etc. truck for a nominal fee. That allows you to go pick it up on your schedule. Luckily for...

    Air compressor maintenance

There is a big difference in how an old industrial compressor was made and how modern consumer grade compressors are made. There is an even bigger difference in liability laws between 1934 and now too. Does the state inspection include a hydro test?
