Ceiling finished... something I should of had the original builders do! Just picked up 5 more Costco lights to finish the lower ceiling, these things are awesome and well worth $20 each.

Finally getting around to finishing my ceiling. Picked up 16 sheets of 12' white metal today and rented a drywall lift. THAT IS THE WAY TO GO! Removed the old lights that were freebies and installing the Costco LED strips.

I don't know how well it would work on a car engine, you can't really stick the hose down the dipstick due to it's size and oil dipstick holders don't go to the bottom of the oil pan. Most transmission dipsticks have a larger diameter since you fill it that way as well. Unless you own a Ford...

Thanks, been a long break on the garage and truck, life gets busy. Just got a quote for metal wall and ceiling material. $1900 for everything, no labor of course. I might just do OSB on the walls and finish the ceiling with metal in the future.

I just flew to Estonia on a refueling tanker, they still have the shiny floors but that one is nicer than ours was. We have plywood boxes down the center for luggage.

I have one of those stand up / sit down desks... I like it... You should restore that old vise, plenty of threads on here about them. I think they are worth a pretty penny too!

cool project... I have a 50+ year old 80 gallon tank, still in use.

Being a pole barn is why I mention raising the roof. I would probably remove the metal and drop the trusses. The walls will stand up because of the poles, something a stick built can't do as easily. Disturbing dirt and the poles on the bottom would be an issue.
