    Engine Oil Collection

This doesn't work so well for those of us with trucks that hold 6 quarts and 8 quarts of oil. I just bought a new catch pan/jug from Autozone. Drain, cap it and next time I go get oil for a change, I'll take the pan and have them empty it. My last one was over 10 years old but...

    Steel Sources

Depends on what the metal is for too. Are you replacing floors, quarters, other body parts, subframe, etc? If so, I would suggest buying the premade replacement panels from places like Classic Industries, Auto Metal Direct or others, unless you are a pro and have all the tools necessary to...

Pretty cool that it has the Napier Field graphic. Dothan is at the bottom of our state, right before you enter Florida.

Pipe vs. Tube bending, part II

If you're just bending aluminum fence posts (pipe) then you should be able to do it with the Harbor Freight bender. I'm not sure how much of a bend you need so that could be your limiting factor with that bender.

    Johnson paste wax

For my forged pieces, I mixed up a combo of BLO, turpentine and bee's wax. Boiled Linseed oil by itself can be used too. Just don't use too much or it'll be sticky. Sitting the piece in the sun will help it cure too.

Propane Forge Burners - Any Experience Making or Buying?

I bought mine from High Temp Tools. It's been going strong for 6 years now with no issues. I'm currently only running 1 burner but have a 2nd to install whenever I get around to relining my forge. https://hightemptools.com/collections/all

Help me do this HACK job

Is there a cake under all that icing? WTF? :yikes: The only thing that filling rust with bondo does is hide the continuously growing rust. I would rather SEE rust hole than my whole damn rig break in half.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Picked up this Craftsman Heritage last Sunday. It's rough and missing the tray but the leather handle is in nice shape. I'll give it a good clean up, paint if necessary and store some of my older tools in it.
