    Roper Whitney #5 and #7

I totally forgot I had these until I saw someone mention, in another post, about using their #5. I picked these up a few years ago and have never used them because they didn't come with any punches or dies and the #7 is missing it's benchtop mount.

Received a 20% off coupon from Zoro but of course I couldn't use it on any of the big items I wanted so ended up with just these 2.

    2022 Garage Sale Thread

Stopped by a local flea market that I don't frequent hoping for some finds. Managed to grab this interesting pair of J.P. Danielson pliers for $3.00 and a box full of misc tools for $20 because I spied a Proto pipe wrench, Duro-Chrome ratchet and Vlcheck DBE. There wasn't much else in there...

    2022 Garage Sale Thread

You guys all have much better yard/estate sales and flea markets than we do. All I see are old baby clothes and home decor from the 80's.

At that size, I'd say it's probably just an advertising piece.

The Lugzsonian - A Virtual Tour

Well......I'm not sure how "straight" it is. The sides have both been covered by sheet metal that we haven't peeled off yet. Brakes are all new and it stops well. The fact that it was running, driving, braking was why I drove from Alabama to Missouri to buy it. It was a great trip with my son too.

The Lugzsonian - A Virtual Tour

We also have a Willys.....1948 CJ2A. My 17 yr old son and I are working on it together. It runs and drives great. We're just rebuilding as we go. Just finished the front axle rebuild and are replacing the front frame horns before we bolt it back in. Here it is when we picked it up.

Show us your vintage speed wrenches

Thanks Lugz. That all makes complete sense and I did not realize that all of those details were what was being looked at. I apologize to OTG and Don as I am new to this and didn't completely understand what you just pointed out.

The script is different on mine and the date code says 1963, based on the charts I've seen.

    Snap-On and Allenite(?) Speed handles

According to this chart and others I've found, mine does not look like the 1944 E. It appears to be the same as the 1963 3. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/snap-on-date-code-chart-up-to-2029.14884/

    Snap-On and Allenite(?) Speed handles

More pieces from my dad's stash of rusty tools......... I forgot I'd already found these and sprayed them with PB Blaster until they freed up. Came across them while organizing my tool box so I thought I'd throw them on here. 1st is a Snap-On K-4. It works well and is smooth now, just needs a...

    Labeling toolbox drawers

The labeling is more for others than myself. If my hands are full/busy, I can say "go grab a wrench/pliers/screwdriver" and don't have to describe where things are. Makes my life easier.......

    Labeling toolbox drawers

I have a US General bottom box and a Craftsman top box (scratch and dent $100 special). The Craftsman came with black drawer fronts so I use a silver sharpie to label them. If I change drawers, it just takes a little brake clean on a rag to clean off the old marker and then you can re-write on...

    Keeping Garage Clean

This! My metal shop is 1/2 of our small 2 car garage and whenever I work, I have the garage door open with 2 large fans blowing toward the opening. The other half is full of misc **** and our 48 Willys CJ2A project. Anything that anyone brings in gets piled on my side because you have to go...
