    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1950s Craftsman Garage retro remodel

In college I worked part time for a research program and there was workshop in the basement of the building we were in. There was a DoAll in there just like in the pic above. I was building 'ganged' lantern slide projector system for the research group and used that saw a lot. You could trim and...

I agree on option 3 for the switch location. IMHO, it puts the operator in the best position to turn the saw on when he's ready with material to cut as well as to quickly shut it off if there's a problem.

    New Drag Race Shop

Great shop and R/T. Digging Mopars, in my avatar you can just see the rear of my '68 R/T (440 powered) and my '32 roadster is a built 354 Hemi.

Semi-new member with a blank canvas

Great starting point, Toby. When I moved to Auburn 8 years ago, I was like you, looking for a house with enough land to build a shop or already had a shop built. I got lucky and found a place with an existing 25x50 shop with a 12 foot ceiling. It too was like a blank canvas and after wiring...

Thomas, I liked your explanation about the stain and my shop floor has a few beauty marks as well. In a past life, though, I was a photo interpreter. I noticed the location of that stain in the white square doesn't match the location of any of the 4x4s in the picture accompanying your...

Thomas - As always, just a phenomenal attention to detail and workmanship. I'm in awe of your talents. That being said and at the risk of being a know-it-all jerk, as your attention to detail includes clocking the screws in the things you build and uses acorn nuts for aesthetic appearance, you...

My Winter Shop “Makeover” – Part 1 – Before/After Pics

The contrast between the before and after on the shop is simply amazing. The vision you had and created of what it would look like from what you started with is awe inspiring. A big .

    The Breeze Place

I'm running dual Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs on a 401 Buick nailhead. When I pulled the fuel inlets off, there were some rubber bits right in the carb inlet (still haven't figured out where they came from:headscrat). So anyway, I'm working on getting both carbs cleaned out.

    The Breeze Place

Not yet but soon. I've been working on house stuff and fussing with the '30 Roadster Pickup. Somewhere along the way, the carbs got fouled(it'll run but it won't idle) and I'm having to clean 'em out.

Jack - So sorry to hear about the loss of your dogs. Been through it myself and I know how it leaves a hole in ones heart. And now there's a young lady on the way, congrats. I now have a granddaughter and with her Mom, my first born, it makes for a wonderful extended family. Those ladies can...
