My feelings exactly, in fact I stopped buying them for my painting business as a result. I found Corona brushes to be very good, although since I retired about two years ago I haven't needed to buy any more.

I find myself using Ebay a lot less than I did years ago. Occasionally I buy from them, but imo I have to be careful. Years ago I sold things on Ebay, it got too expensive so I stopped using them.

It sure seems that way, and the quality of HF tools is improving.

IMO they all have their place. I've had a few occasions that I remember where the lock gave out or a flex alone was sloppy. Other times where just a long straight ratchet was needed to apply considerable force, where a breaker bar and 12 point socket made access more difficult than the ratchet.

I had good luck with them.

I hear ya! I'm sure they'll get it sorted out, sooner or later. As far as I can tell that hasn't happened yet.

I agree with your observations, however mine don't take much force to get them to freewheel. There are occasions where I have to put some force on the back of the ratchet, granted not too often. My biggest beef is they're a premium tool at a premium price, and the only ratchets I own that have...

I'm still waiting patiently for them to resolve the freewheel issue with the 100 tooth ratchets. Last time I checked, [IIRC] late November there appears to be no resolution. If anyone has more current information please share. Thanks.

I found they come in quite handy for removing hoses, especially if you plan on reusing the hose..

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to check these out at HF next time I'm in the area of my local HF. In the meantime I'll probably grab the Milwaukee carbide blade with the remaining balance on a HD gift card.
