I agree, if they are phasing out the Dual 80 they better get their act together and fix the 100 tooth ratchet problem.

So far so good. I have a project coming up late September early October doing interior doors and trim work for a friend's son who should be closing on a house by then.

I can't believe they haven't fixed the freewheeling issue yet. I had my dealer install the rebuild kit and it did nothing to fix the problem.

Thanks I have a FL100 and FLF100 with the problem from an early run and was wondering if a newer run fixed the issue. The rebuild kit did nothing.

I had good experiences with Mister Worker. After seeing this thread I'll pass on them and those wrenches I had bookmarked from them. Maybe I'll change my mind depending on how this gets settled for the OP.

I took at shot and ordered one. I figured for $20, it could be OK. Time will tell.

I have a feeling a call to Snap On CS will get the problem resolved in short order.

I'm wondering if they'll redesign them and slowly phase out what has been made and is sitting in inventory, or just leave them as is and state "the performance of the ratchet is not affected" and run with that if questioned.

I had a feeling they were going to tell you that, and that there is nothing wrong with the tool. I don't understand why the only ratchet they make that freewheels when you put pressure on the direction lever is the 100 tooth ratchet. You think they'd have that worked out.
