    Sorry guys...been way slammed with work!! Bill, the short answer, yes. I have used an SP-135 for many years and it is capable of making some great welds...BUT, like all 110v machines they have their limitations so I wouldn't expect to be welding 1/4" plate with the little guy. I run .023"...

    You won't be disappointed with the American Rotary unit. I've had a 20hp RPC from them for 3 years. The quality is excellent and the customer service is even better.

    ...or 5052. All the above sheet metal work is 3003-H14, rolled, bent, cut, and/or welded. Other projects I have done have been in 5052-H32 both in either .050" or .063".

    Hey IONH....are you sure you get 25% Argon and 75% CO2? The most typical steel gas mix is "C25" which is 25% CO2 and 75% Argon. You technically "can" use straight argon for GMAW welding of steel but the arc would be erratic and the weld would lack penetration. With argon being a completely...

    Actually those torches are only rated for 150 amps DC and 115 AC and they are Air cooled.
