Not new, but new to me. Had a friend turn me onto a machine shop that closed down. The guy was also selling a bunch of wrenches and automotive tools. 0-6 mic set, depth gauge, mill tramming indicators, some big ol Proto SAE wrenches to fill some holes in my set, hole saws, 12pt craftsman USA...

    Evolution multi material table saw

I picked this guy up a few months back as a stepping stone before I made the full commitment on a Makita track saw for wood. I wanted the metal capability as well knowing it would be somewhat of a sacrifice “jack of all master of none”, but have been pleasantly surprised. Used it to cut BILs...

    Lets see your First Toolbox

Got my first real box for my 16th birthday from my mom. She got it at Canadian Tire where I also happened to work at the time assembling bicycles. Still my go-to box and holding up quite well for 20 years old:

Looks great! Gotta love how heat and weld cooling can twist up a part. Good on you for reworking until you’re happy (I’m the same way). I’m planning to fab up something similar but with a 4” wide belt. Did you buy the plans online?

12" on the 3/8" DR is a great length. I upgraded from the standard 8" and that extra leverage, along with a nice locking flex is night and day. I'm teaching my brother to wrench and this weekend I mistakenly handed him the 12" handle with no warning to tighten a small 6mm fastener (oil cooler...

Good call JradM! I looked at those on Amazon and couldn’t find better than about $30 for questionable quality. The larger axle sockets look good too

New budget tool cabinets: Mastercraft vs Craftsman vs Husky

+1 Mastercraft. They go 50% off every 4 weeks rotation it seems. I have 4 of them, the black 26” wide top&bottom set in the photo was given to me on my 16th birthday back when I lived in Ontario (I’m 36 now). It travelled full of tools across the country in transport to Calgary where I now live...

    Don’t do that!!

I see this is an old thread, but couldn’t resist. I’m in industrial construction and every job I’m amazed at the “creative” uses for tools.
