    Progress - Coating done!

Well, when we do garages we always put a clearcoat on top. The clearcoat is super glossy, super hard, and repels anything, and tires don't leave marks. I would never leave bare paint, as I would expect this to happen. You might be able to salvage it with a quality clearcoat.

    Fine Texas Garage Floor

I didn't want to say, because I am sure the competition is out there watching, but this floor was about $5.50 a foot, including the logo.

    World's Ugliest Garage - It's Jank-a-riffic!

I shouldn't be poking fun of this, but my company (Garage and Storage Plus, Austin) did a few ceiling racks in this guys garage and it was, indeed, quite janky. I took these pictures with my phone while the owner was standing right there. The installer and I were laughing. Note the glossy blue...

    Fine Texas Garage Floor

It's an epoxy/poly combo--the top layer of clearcoat is a poly...chips are torginol and the other color is a local outfit. We work in austin and the surrounding areas.

    My 30' x 40' from the start...

I hope they didn't trowel that concrete too much--better to leave it a bit rough so that epoxy floor will adhere for 75 years!

    My almost finished Sanctuary

Very good looking. I like the ultiMate/Craftsman look...Too many people make garages that have no unified feel. This one came together nicely.

    Fine Texas Garage Floor

This is a floor we did recently for a client. I know the client has visited this site before, so I hope he won't mind if I show off this floor a bit; this is just too good not to share. Pictures with cabinets to follow... The artists are Gunter and Michael from Garage and Storage Plus...

How's Rustoleum Epoxy Shield holding up?

That black polished floor is cool. Agreed: staining concrete is a great solution when moisture is an issue.

How's Rustoleum Epoxy Shield holding up?

I'd say that the short answer is "no". The killers for adheshion are moisture and smoothness. Smoothness can be rectified by grinding or by the less desireable method of acid-etching. It sounds like you have serious moisture problems. Modern homes typically have a vapor barrier installed under...

    New Garage, Small But Sweet

Oh the IKEA cabinets are "PAX". They are for closet organization, but we have put them in several garages in the last few months in connection with our installations.

How's Rustoleum Epoxy Shield holding up?

Hogwash? Well I wasn't there when he put it in. Even so, as a pro installer, I'll tell you all that preparation is crucial to having a long lasting installation. Don't forget, it might be the concrete as well, all concrete is different. Some people get lucky, some people don't. One can...

How's Rustoleum Epoxy Shield holding up?

I recently encountered a failure of a bargain 2-part epoxy system. See this article on bargain epoxy failure--the pictures tell the tale. I am NOT saying that this is R E/S, I don't want to get sued! I am just saying that it is a major brand available at a popular home center: No big deal...
