People who buy tools they will never use

People aren’t going broke from buying tools. They are going broke from paying a Garage $800 for a brake job. Besides, it’s Harbor freight Amazon, and so forth for the win If you could buy a torque wrench for $15 dollars versus $230 dollars why not have a couple of differentsizes?

Another One Gone - Wal Mart and Hart Split the Sheets

They had the name slapped on hundreds of generic Chinese tool products. It’s not like they had a lot of skin in the game. Walmart is going to be OK, and whoever bought their Hart products will use them till they **** out and toss them just like everything else and move on with life.

Wright Tools Disappointment (Transforms to Respect)

I have some Thorsen wrenches and a Snap On ratchet, I acquired new in the 1970's. After a few years the chrome started flaking off. Still use them today. Considering the condition of hand tools I looked at during hundreds of estate/business liquidation auctions, apparently I was not alone, in...

Shop presses and parts washers: Next step up from Harbor Freight?

If they were “key tools,” why wouldn’t they already be using them? From the sounds of it, they just wanted to shop press in the parts washer without really spending much money on them hence Harbor Freight setting the standard

Are Pittsburg ratchets comparable in quality and durability to Tekton?

I don't own any, but touching them in the store, some models feel pretty stout, while others kind of flimsy. Just figured chances are good they don't come from the same source.

    Master Force India

Just a guess, but India could probably make tools and beautiful and stout as Snap On, but why would they? Like China, their roots will always proceed their perception today, so their products will be perceived as "junk" by many here in this country, regardless. They can make/market affordable...
