Dawn dish soap mixed with water, apply with soft brush, use a quality squeegee to wipe. Clean the window frames while your at it. Wipe the squeegee off after every swipe too. Fast and clean.

    Garage door advice

I just installed a clopay and a 3800 and like them a lot. I say spend the extra cash and have it installed by a pro. Especially if you're installing a 3800 opener. I think the tension is set up different for it.

    Should I Insulate??

I would do it. You'll be kicking yourself later after you put your drywall up.

    Need advice on 2-story heater

Yes, the lower level has 8' ceilings. I figure about 1100 sq. ft. for both levels. I just don't want to short-change myself and get a 45k btu when I should get a 60 or 75. I'm assuming with heat rising, that I won't need to add another heater for the 2nd floor if I go with a larger unit. I'm...

    Need advice on 2-story heater

I did a search and am coming up short on info. I'm building a 24 x 24 with a 2nd floor, full staircase with opening, fully insulated and insulated door. I'm thinking of using a Hot Dawg/ Modine/ Mr. Heater 50k or 60k btu heater. Would this be a good size to use?

What's your basic Tool Kit in the Trunk Emergency Road Kit

Great list! I'd like to add, a small propane torch with the ignitor built in. Thaw out frozen locks, free rusted bolts and whatever else. Saved my **** on a snowmobile trip once. Also, a piece of carpet or cardboard to lay on if you need to crawl under your vehicle.

    snowmobiles and flooring

Maybe lay down sheets of plywood and replace them as they get ripped up? I'm going to have the same issue once my garage and driveway are done.

    My snowmobile workshop!

What do you do to keep from gouging your floor or driveway when loading and unloading the sleds? Do you drive them onto a sheet of plywood or something? I'm building a new garage and driveway and need some tips. Nice shop/garage too!

Garage Heater: Big Dawg Vs Dornback

I'm kinda in the same boat. Not sure what size heater to go with. I'm building a 24 x 24, but with a 2nd floor. I was thinking a 60k would be good. Any thoughts? Sorry about jumping in on your thread too Jimmy!

What type of siding to choose?

I'm building a new garage and am torn between dutchlap and 4" clapboard siding. It will probably be vinyl unless I can swing for Hardie plank. What do you guys prefer style wise? I did a search and came up with very little.

Floor coating for use with Snowmobiles?

I don't think any coating will stand up to pics and carbides. Diligent use of dollys or maybe placing plywood on top the concrete when moving them. I'll be dealing with the same issue very soon.
