So because of your post I did end up getting a 3 prong chain checker . It does look like Shimano uses the standard sized rollers on their 12 speed chains, but I did reason with myself that the 3 prong is more accurate in theory should there be variation in roller size as everyone has a bad...

100% convinced now that I need the mini blower. Just need to wait for a deal to come along though... 86 decibels is kind of loud from a meter away. Under similar methodology Torque Test has the dual blower at 87 decibels. Can anyone subjectively comment on the loudness vs the m18 blowers...

Large stock of Milwaukee @ 11:00 in the 60 minutes video below. Kind of interesting for those of us frustrated by all the Milwaukee locked up in cages at HD... sounds like that theft pails in consideration to the amount of logistics theft... heard $42.8b in LA alone.

m12 chargers go to habitat for humanity where they join a horde of other orphans whose owners also got m18 and realized the m12 chargers were pretty useless.

So let me confirm my understanding - the three prong chain checkers seem to isolate roller wear. So if the two prong ones also take into account roller wear they are in fact overestimating chain wear? Or did I get it backwards? Underestimating would be an issue in my mind and doesn't extreme...

Yea I think it is just made cheap vs typical Milwaukee high grade plastic. I swore there was just a small tear on one side a few weeks ago, and now its hanging on by a thread. I might try to 3D print one with TPU.

Looks like my rear mower skirt has seen better days. Any generic versions fit well? Or do I do some plastic welding or zip tie jankyness? The Milwaukee part seems to be back order type of item at $30 plus shipping across the country...

Anyone with a packout dust separator cut out the inlet? Am pretty sure its functioning as an air restrictor with the 2.5 inch hoses I am running. It almost looks like it is designed to be cutout. I also tried popping out the inlet, but it seems that's a no go.

Not sure what's the best practice these days, but it was far easier when the order could be split between delivered to home and store. I would order the stuff that I want to be delivered to home and then let the stuff that I didn't want get returned to inventory at the store by exceeding the...

Didn't see the impact. That's a pretty good deal if you are ok going through the slight hassle of the return process. I've personally forsaken it due to some negative experiences and hassle of trying to split and return.

With this pricing would definitely get the Fuel version. Do you mind including the link? Not sure I am seeing that pricing factoring in the free batteries at $10 per amp hour.

The non-fuel version 2648-20 might be the way to go at ~$100. Haven't felt the need for more power for a 5 inch RO sander. Battery life is still decent also. Am always glad not to have another cord to trip over or deal with. The fuel version is pretty new and is still therefore carrying the...

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

@Drunkonunleaded you have real dedication to Carlyle. I left Carlyle for dead a while back, but 100% agree the old 72t ratchets are where its at. If some of the old Cornwell style with the blue button roto ratchets ever pop up I might have to buy them.

semi proud of my 8mm line socket abomination while I wait for the tekton and Pedros I ordered. It works well. Eventually maybe I'll upgrade to the Koken version. Also upgraded my chain checker to a Park CC-3.2 after I realized the new Shimano 12 speed stuff is only supposed to be run out...

Also use mine exclusively with the pads in when resetting the pistons with wheel swaps and changing flats. One benefit of having a dedicated tool for this is you don't accidentally contaminate the pads with a dirty tool.

Going forward I am going to be torquing to spec. Having some seepage issues on one of my lines by the caliper because I haven't bought the right tool (yet). Historically I was a good n tight type of guy, but the excitement of preventable mid ride issues is getting old now. Also having a...
