What did you do "IN" your garage today?

That has got to be a home built rig, I’ve never seen a set of pallet forks that weren’t one solid piece and bent 90° at the heels. Health and Safety won’t even let you waterjet (cold) a hole in the end of the fork let alone weld along the length of them and at the heel. No wonder they broke. I...

Anybody try the kettle yet? I feel like they ought to make these tools (like the coffee machine and microwave) 120V capable and double as a battery charger as well.

Not sure about your area but up here you can find jugs/cans of Trufuel or Aspen fuel that is ethanol free and it is horribly expensive. Though for a generator that rarely runs it might be worth it.

Like AvE says, “I do some of my best work singlehanded in the dark.”

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Well I tweaked the carb and threw the mower deck under it and cut the grass. Well, almost all the grass… It spat the PTO belt out four times on the last patch in the back before I gave up. Overall it cuts not bad for a 50 year old machine with worn blades. Then I pulled the deck back off and...

She runs, she drives, and she pulls, yet again! I really love stuff like this that predates safety, no kill-switches on the seat so I can run back and steer the car while the tractor does its thing. (This car is waiting for me to put its rod bearings back in, but it was in my way for now.) Ran...

Tires showed up this afternoon! Boy I wish I had a tire machine. Need to get some proper carb cleaner to finish up the carb, then maybe I can cut grass this weekend. It’s kinda getting away on me already.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Still waiting for my rear tires to show up but I tried to start the garden tractor project yesterday and discovered I hadn’t drained the fuel before disassembly a year and a half ago…. Darn infernal combustion engines, the carbonator is all gummed up! Some nice crusties in the bowl:

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Well, after all: Good grief, I’m six years older than this kid and I’ve been working full time for half his lifetime already. Does he not have a father in his life?

Is it legal to run those on the street in AB? They give ya a ticket in MB for sure.

Meh, that’s just the way that box fits best, . I hadn’t actually planned on putting it in the truck, was just going to toss it in the trunk of the Buick but it happened to fit on those seat brackets nicely lol.

I should add, that’s just a pic I pulled from google for context. 😄

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

As for in the garage, I played around with wiring up this little subwoofer I got from a buddy. Not bad for $20, and it gives me a place to mount “proper” cupholders.

Went to the new KMS Tools store in Saskatoon last weekend, was much impressed by the selection they have. It was by far the biggest display I’ve seen in a tool store, most places I’ve seen only have one shelf of teal at best. I bought an LXT/usb adapter, had to get out quick before I spent any...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Garage Refurb®

My great-uncle was killed by a chain flying through the door of the skidsteer he was using to pull a stump, and I know several others who have been similarly injured, or would have been if they’d been standing closer. It absolutely does not drop when broken under strain.

I wouldn’t grease it, that will attract dust and gum it up quite quickly. A piece of some UHMW would make it slide better but I guess you probably don’t have much clearance between the tubes. What keeps it from sliding out while you’re bouncing through the pasture?

Ok fair point lol. But I mean, it would be harder to pretend I’m a distinguished gentleman using my fancy razor with some chintzy plastic liner in my Altoids tin. 😂😂

Yeah I’ve seen those! Pretty neat. The only problem I have with 3D printed stuff is the surface finish typically leaves a lot to be desired.
