Sigh, I wish Amazon JP would ship to Australia. Using a middleman carrier really kills the cost savings...

Advice on Cold Cut Chop Saw

I have the DW872-XE and it cuts very nicely with the provided blade but the clamping/fence setup is less strong than I’d like. Mind you, the other similarly priced saws available around here were worse so there wasn’t much to choose from. Would buy again.

Bluetooth Amplifier System With Four Speakers???

Could you just use a Chromecast Audio or similar device and plug that into whatever amp you like? May even be cheaper than a Bluetooth integrated setup, it is over here... I use a Nokia Wireless Music Receiver from years ago plugged into a twin speaker setup with a sub.

Workbench build advice on a new Garage Build

If i I had to just have one my preference is to have a steel top. Takes more abuse and I find it easier to put down a sheet of wood if I need a softer surface than put down a steel sheet on wood for a harder one. Having both surfaces available is convenient.

    Paint applied with brush?

I have seen some brush jobs that looked better than other DIY spraycan or HVLP-gun paint jobs... good prep and a skilled operator can make for a really decent job. Lack of prep or care can make for an awful finish no matter the method.

I don't actually own a pair of end nippers (yet) so can't comment there. I'll see if I can find a 23ga nail or similar in the shop and see how the KBN-150 goes cutting it. I know the specs say 1.6mm of soft iron is OK (and 23ga is .6mm?) but is a nail classed as soft iron? No idea myself...

    Tools of Japan

Tsunoda spec it to be able to deal with 5.5mm2 stranded copper wire, which as far as I remember is 10AWG. I'd be interested to know how they fare with regular use on 23ga pins - Tsunoda's end cutting nippers are rated up to 64HRC, though, rather than the 56 to 62 of the KBN-150 so I suspect...
