    DMM: New or Used?

Thanks for the link Botje. Through that link I found a list of reccomended meter. Anyone have any experience with Agilent meters? They seem to be well regarded as the post reccomended all of them. I always look at it as overkill and more features is better than not having enough. Now I...

    DMM: New or Used?

Thank you everyone for the replies. This meter will be used for household, automotive, and occasional electronics work. So accuracy is somewhat important. I will have to look into the Uni-T brand as well. It seems people have also had good luck with used meters so I will have to search for a...

    DMM: New or Used?

So im looking to pick up a decent DMM? is this something I should look for used or just buy new to avoid problems? Do they lose calibration at all? I'm looking for one that will last a LONG time and do whatever I need. (which isnt much, ive gotten by with a couple $20-$30 range so far.) but...

Bolting a winch to the garage floor to pull cars into garage?

DO NOT use the female hitch adapater. Use the 2" receiver mount you posted later. and as said before, a rolling load on a paved or smooth surface is far less than vehicle weight, even if going up hill. that being said a bigger winch never hurts.

    good quality homeowner wheelbarrow

Not sure what your yard is like, but if youve never used one with two wheels. I highly reccomend it. They sink far less, much harder to tip over, and are easier to push. Plus they typically have larger buckets so it makes for less trips.

    Another angle grinder thread

I have a 6" metabo that is the only thing I put cut off wheels on. They last SO much longer than the 4.5" and eat through metai. For wire wheels and grinding I prefer the 4.5". There is a significant difference but it is no where near unwiedly. If you know how to use a grinder youll be fine...

    Updated Chinese Cut50F Group Buy

I understand that but I might stay in with MO. From what I gather everyone above #150 needs to be refunded regardless, whether they back out or not. So I wanted to know if there was going to be a mass refund.

    Picked welder now helmet/hood

The hobart is shade adjustable and the head gear is pretty comfy and adjustable as well. The only others Ive tried are old non-AD, a rhino AD, an HF AD and the hobart. Id take the hobart over all of them. If you want I can take a picture of the head gear if you cant find any good pictures...

    Picked welder now helmet/hood

I have the hobart impact. works great and never been flashed. The only problem is when welding outside sometimes the sun will make it go dark ( i assume this happens with all of them). But it has a large viewing area and respends perfectly.

    Children's tools

I had things like that and a toy lawnmower. I used to follow my dad and grandfathers around when they cut the lawn and worked on stuff. Its all what got me started in the mechanical engineering field. My "First tool box" (a little plastic job) is actually the toolbox on my boat today!

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

this would be perfect for me when i have my archery shoots out back. instead of taking my tool box i could use this, would be nice with those wheels being able to roll over the grass. It works great! I reccomend it.
