You've got me considering ordering a set of them at full price.... but I'll wait until my substitutes show up Haha

    Wiha Tool Outlet clearance

Same. It kinda feels like a downgrade looking at the handles on the substitute when you consider that my hands are constantly covered in grease. This will probably be a set that I keep in the house just to have handy and look pretty. At least I'll have one clean set of screwdrivers this way haha.

    Wiha Tool Outlet clearance

I was excited for these. But I'm not mad, just disappointed. Still an amazing deal! I wonder if they were discontinued due to lack of sales or poor reviews. Now I'll never know, haha. Never had or used Wihas so this should be a treat either way!

    Wiha Tool Outlet clearance

Thanks for posting this! I grabbed a set of screwdrivers and some nippers this morning. I've been wanting to branch out from the usual brands.

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

That would be amazing. I'm not usually this nervous about taking things apart, but this is a bit of a special case. Edit: If you can give me your source for those diagrams, that would also be amazing!

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Well one dumb problem is fixed. I'm going to bed. I'll revisit this in the morning. Please forgive my semi-frantic posting. Thanks everyone!

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Ok, you're the man. I'd love to know how you found those diagrams. I'm having trouble processing them at this hour though. Maybe I should sleep before I tinker with this, haha. My brain hasn't been working right all day. Forgive me, but when you say "slide the plastic shroud off", do you mean...

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Although nothing felt loose initially, I decided to grab the barrel shroud and give it a little more of a twist. It and the ring rotate either direction. Is this too far apart to simply tighten back up without carefully taking it apart first?

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Assuming this goes here as a filter? Was trying to resist dismantling anything because warranty, but glad I did that

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

So nothing is wrong and I'm just a hypochondriac?

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

I does feel like something is literally rolling around inside the handle though.

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

It's bypassing what I would consider quite a lot of air. The spring loaded I get, but I'm talking it takes 2 hands and some body weight to push the barrel down when I have air hooked up. Or is that normal? Is it normal not to fire when the trigger adjustment is turned all the way down? Maybe I'm...

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Well, I suppose I'll update. I bought a "refurbished" RRH12P-TS with a 90 day warranty for what I thought was a great price for what appears to be a lightly used tool. It showed up today, and as soon as I hooked it up I had a pretty large air leak at the rear. It also leaks somewhere else when I...

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

I have yet to break any bits in 2 years of pounding pretty hard and regularly on my Ajax bits in my 3050. I'm sure it will happen eventually. I have had to reshape them.

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

I won't argue that I'm not part of the younger crowd. And for me, honestly, this is definitely in part about wanting to have a BFH. But still, even being a quarter lifer, I prefer to use the tool that works for me, rather than having to swing it myself. I completely understand why companies...

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Well put, Olafur. Being that you have been up close and "in it", so to speak, with these tools, I will take it that this is probably a very accurate breakdown of the applications for these tools. Putting them in "brackets" and defining a rough cutoff for philosophy of use is helpful. That said...

    .498 Air Hammers!... Again

Gotchya! I appreciate all of the insight and advice. I'll probably add a hose like that regardless of which route I go. And I was thinking the same thing. It's a hard decision, haha. The more pros and cons I have on the table, the easier it makes it!
