Did a quick session on the wirewheel to get the most of the debris off. Made a lot of difference already. Now the tank can do the rest. Handles haven been ordered.

    Restoring a Snap-on body hammer

This threat deserves some new input. Let me kick it off with a very good deal on a set of Gedore dolleys and a hammer I got yesterday.

    Hammer time!

A buddy of mine had an awful fire run trough his garage which destroyed nearly everything. Out of the rubble I dug some hammers which I will restore. Don't know if they'll be safe to use again, but I'll give it a go anyway. Might become some nice wall art.

    First Buy! York Vice

Nice find! York vises clean up very well. They are a quality brand from the Czech Republic. The company still exists today and you can buy spare parts from them here. I did a couple myself, they are pretty easy to take apart. Good luck and keep us posted!

Tips and Tricks for Pressing Out Ball Joints?

I once tried to press out a ball joint from a Volkswagen trailing arm. Used a 10 ton press. I got scared when the press hit 9 tons and nothing happend. I stopped and got a tip from someone who didn't had a press. All you need is a grinder and a welder. First cut the cap that holds the ball stud...

    Creusen bench grinder restoration

Between work an other projects the grinder suffered a lack of attention. Today I set that straight. The main body is back together and she is in working order once again. I'm now finishing up the paint work on the side shields and such. Here is a nice comparison with the old one.

I've got two sets of those screwdrivers and one of the torx sets. I use them a lot and they hold up great. Tips are good and the handles are comfortable.
