    Can anything be made from 2 old 13 inch steel rims?

    put a shaft through in and weld a cap to the end of it then put a handle on it and you can roll and garden hose up or your air hose, that would look pretty look spinning while you roll your hose up

    Valve spring compressor

    ive done alot of them but they never on that engine.but using grease is the best and fastest way to put it back together. after you take the compresser off use a soft face hammer and tap on top of the spring you should hear the keepers click and then you'll know that they are seated well.

    Giving away spare tools

    i would give a descent tool box and a craftsman set, he will love it and it sounds like he will takecare of them. and i would throw in some pilers,hammers,and pry bars oh and a good flashlight.
