Window install on 48x72 pole barn?

I am using board and batten siding on my shop and I was wondering what the best method of installing windows and z metal are? I am framing walls up between posts and then using house wrap, then I'm not sure of the correct window installation? Just seeing what others have done. Thanks

72x48 Pole barn with questions? Holes not centered.

I have not called for my final inspection on the poles prior to filling them yet. I had the holes inspected before the poles went in though.

72x48 Pole barn with questions? Holes not centered.

The picture is the only one I had prior to putting poles in lined up. So I put all the poles in the holes and a few holes are not centered to my string lines. I think out of 20 holes there are about 6 that the poles are not centered in the middle. They are pushed to one side. Was this an...

How many have raised pole barn trusses by themselves?

Thanks for the offer! I live in Oregon though, dang it. I talked with the crane guy and he wants to trade some body and paint work on an old car for his help lol Not a bad idea. So another question. I need a 6" concrete base under my poles. How many of you just pour the bags and then some...

How many have raised pole barn trusses by themselves?

I like this idea. I know 48' wide is a little bigger, but I think it could work. I like the idea of building each bay on the ground. I have a guy near me that has a crane, I will see what he would charge for putting them up in the air for me. Or I go with above method :)

How many have raised pole barn trusses by themselves?

Man you guys are killing me lol I will look into getting a crane for lifting them. I'm not opposed to trying it by myself, but it's probably wise to get a piece of equipment to help.

How many have raised pole barn trusses by themselves?

I am raising a 48x72x16 pole barn by myself. Has anyone here put the trusses up with only the help on one other person (my wife)? I was thinking about using pump jacks. Any pictures or advice of this being done? Thanks, Steve

Looking to build a pole barn, advice is appreciated.

So I've done a ton of construction work and built my own shops before, but I am thinking of building a pole barn, and that's a new outing. Looking for advice for moving ahead with doing this. Here is a sketch of what I want. Best place to buy kits in Oregon, or just buy material with no kit...

Needing info on new shop I want, steel trusses.

I figured I would start a new thread asking about these type of trusses. I want to build a 48x60 with 14 ft eaves. I live in Oregon, but I'm not sure if there is a specific place to buy them. I know some are probably better than others. Any price information on them? Thanks!

It's been awhile since I have been on here. Updates to projects.

My wife and I have been building this project for about 4 years now. We are building it out of pocket and doing the work mostly by ourselves. I am planning the third stage right now. I would like to build steel truss pole barn when the house is done. One using wood posts and steel trusses...

    Building a new shop.

We had planned on putting a door at the far end of the shop where the little room is, but decided to put the room there. So, we put a header up next to the big door that's in now and plan on putting that door in when we can afford it down the road. We also have plans to add another section to...

    Building a new shop.

Here are some pictures of the shop my wife and I are building. The shop is 48x28 with a small room at one end for parts and tools. We are hoping to get the wiring going this next week sometime. The pictures are somewhat out of order, sorry.
