A nice small shop or a bare bones large shop?

I'm in agreement bigger is better. I built a 30x60 garage last year, this year in process of a 35x60 shop. The shop won't be built out with insulation and heat this year, but I got the space I wanted. If I find it's unreasonable to hear and cool I can divide it off I suppose.

Stupid question on floor finishing / grinding

The good news was the concrete looked night and day different when I got through the troweled finish, so I don't think you'll have an issue knowing when you're there. My floor was very dark, almost black, and the areas after grinding are very light grey

Stupid question on floor finishing / grinding

I just finished grinding my garage, and spent nearly 30 hours on it. They power troweled the **** out of it, and it took forever to break through the initial finish. I have another pour coming up, what finish do I want to request so that I can grind it in under a day?

    Broke my Floor!

I still think you should fill the saw cuts so it doesn't happen again, regardless of which way you address it

    Broke my Floor!

I'm in process of filling saw cuts with the legacy extreme set product, I would pull the piece out and fill the with that, and fill the rest of the joint so it doesn't happen again. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself will chime in, but that's what I would do with it.

Basic but durable epoxy floor coating recommendations

I'm struggling with the same thing right now, so I don't have any experience based feedback. I would at least take a look at https://www.legacyindustrial.net/products/primer-coatings/standard-epoxy-primer-coating.html Also, I love the name!

Got some done yesterday, changed the whole layout. I'll have a door on the left the lift will be directly in front of, and a main entry 12x12 in the middle so the lift doesn't block entry to the shop

    Tubing installation question

Oh man, wish I knew that before! I bought 2 1/2 reclaimed foam, I would have gone for the creteheat for that kind of money! The heat source has yet to be determined, but the concensus seems to be a propane system would be less costly

    Tubing installation question

obviously not running any pex under the 2 post, but I was planning under the 4 post (since I'm not sure where i'll be putting it, and don't have any plans to bolt it down)

    Tubing installation question

The plan is 12" spacing 1/2" pex, i'm going to do a 2 post lift and a 4 post lift, and I'm always buying something heavy (like a diesel skid steer), so I thought 6" would be good at 4000psi. I'm not looking for the shop to ever be "warm", i'll be pretty content at 50 degrees in the winter...
