    That's exactly what's driving me to do it too - it's bugging me that I don't have the same sizes for the deep sockets as I have for the shallow sockets.

    Sorry if I'm mistaken, but aren't those all shallow sockets? I'm asking about the deep sockets.

    Did Craftsman make anything smaller than 9mm on the 3/8-drive 6-point G-series deep sockets? The newer Craftsman has an 8mm - it's the CMMT99143. Not sure when they started making that size though. On the flip side, did they make anything bigger than the 19mm for that set?

    Ah, I see what you mean. Yeah, I tried pushing that in pretty hard with a tool and it didn't budge at all. Very hard to move, if it's even supposed to move. It's metal, by the way - I don't know if it's connected to the plastic bushing. But I appreciate the idea. Sorry to have hijacked this...

    Thank you for the patent document. I skimmed over it, looking for mention of the bushing. They're referring to the round black disc at the top of the ratchet as the bushing, but I'm curious what you're referring to as the bushing slots.
