    Brake Bleeder Tool Decision

@2ndGearRubber how do the pressure bleeders work with the old cast iron two chamber master cylinders? How as in how well do they work using the big flat cap I see in some kits.

    Brake Bleeder Tool Decision

I’m good with air compressors so no issue there. The extra adapters for different master cylinders isn’t something I’m a fan of for limited home use. Several different makes and ages of vehicles and a UTV makes that a more expensive option. I’m not sure that’s worth the extra cost for the few...

    Brake Bleeder Tool Decision

After looking at a few of these recommendations (thank you to everyone!) there seems to be two styles. One pulls fluid through the brake system from the bleeder screw and the other pushes fluid through from the master cylinder. Any noticeable benefit to either style? This is just for home...

    Brake Bleeder Tool Decision

Looking at some one man brake bleeder tools to use for brake fluid replacement. I see the Power Motive tool get some good reviews. Harbor Freight has a Hoyt version. Then there is the Mity Vac pump. Any others to consider? Vehicles it will be used on 2006 Toyota, 2023 Honda, 2012 Jeep and...

Just bought a PrimeWeld Mig 180!

He will be there and gone before you know it. My youngest (the welder) is off to get an engineering degree. Yours will be ready to start welding soon!

Just bought a PrimeWeld Mig 180!

Yep FFA has welding competitions. The kids go to local district level contests and can win their way to state, kinda like football or basketball. They’re assigned some different welds to make and there are some questions to answer about welding techniques and things like that.

Just bought a PrimeWeld Mig 180!

What makes a Miller or Lincoln or Hobart better than a Primeweld or Yeswelder? My son bought a PW stick welder while he was in high school. He was able to afford it with his after school part time job. It welds just fine and he has completed quite a few projects with it. He did some...

Just bought a PrimeWeld Mig 180!

Use it until it breaks or you don’t want it any longer. Buy the next “bang for the buck” tool that’s available?

Just bought a PrimeWeld Mig 180!

Cars have always been commodities. That really only pencils out if you use it forever. Most people don’t keep the same vehicle for more than 3-5 years. If someone buys a nice Miller welder at 30 years of age it should last them their entire lifetime. Will they want or need a welder for their...

Just bought a PrimeWeld Mig 180!

You’ll get a new machine with a warranty and the latest upgrades. And who’s to say the cheap one won’t make it longer or that the Miller will go twenty years without needing repair?

Who has hybrid electric power ?

It really depends on how much and when you use power along with your utility rates. As mentioned, if the buyback of overproduction is bought at wholesale rates the payback time is longer. Are you asking a question or trying to make some kind of point?

Where to Find Hard-to-Find Casters? Needed for 5 Ton Floor Jack

Maybe could order parts from Harbor Freight? It sounds crazy but if you find a floor jack they sell with the same sized casters you can probably order them. Worth a look.

    Snap-On Soft Grip handle wrenches?

Sure you can- you’ll need a big enough box end to slip over the handle!

    Snap-On Soft Grip handle wrenches?

Because they’re a different type of wrench? Ratcheting wrenches aren’t the best for breaking loose fasteners. And you don’t always want a flex head.

    Craftsman tools disappearing?

My teenage son is putting together his tool collection. So far he doesn’t have any Craftsman he has bought new. I have a ton of them from when I was a youngster and also from my dad. My kid is far more into Icon and German tools than Craftsman. There are still people buying new tools out there...
