What are you all doing for Metal Bandsaw?

The Birmingham Machine dealer has a doall 48 in stock. It’s a lot bigger then my 36 but I think it was was 1500 bucks and looked a little better condition. I agree with the bar stock is easier on a horizontal but I have a cold saw for that which is even easier.

    Attic floor ac

Put a floor mounted mini split in, they literally make a unit specifically for problems like these. These type units mount on the wall a couple inches above the floor line. Seems like it would solve all your problems without the introduction of future ones.

How long has spray foam been popular for?

I own a camper that was factory sprayed, in 1972. Have another one factory sprayed from 1983, needless to say you can heat or cool either one very easily, so even at 50 years old it seems like it was a good investment.

Recommendations for an Amp Clamp Meter

Go with the Klein Cl800, you may not need dc amp and capacitance but it's nice to have them available. Mine gets used daily and I have one on every truck they have been dropped, kicked and rained on. They only die when left at the customers house and forgotten.

let's see your craftsman block grinders

Well here's mine, I know the price might have been insane to some but I thought it was very nice to assemble something made in the USA brand new in the box from 50 years ago. I was on the fence about punching out the cooling bowl knock-out as it was obviously still covered by the factory tab...

let's see your craftsman block grinders

I drove down to the hardware store, then Lowe's, then home depot for a affordable bench grinder to replace an older Dayton that needs some TLC but none were in stock. I feel crazy that I'd even consider purchasing something like that but it being brand new from another time it would probably...

    Alarm panel replacment recommendations

Konnected was built to do exactly what you are describing, I haven't came across anything else with the level of support and assistance that there forums provide....I can't say I would try anything else with the ease i have had.

What year do y'all think that NOS grinder would be on eBay?

    Alarm panel replacment recommendations

Exactly, but if he wants it professionally monitored they now have that worked out. I use each sensor as a z wave enabled input and have different scenes for different timing etc. Very clean and interfaces with Hubitat nicely.

    Alarm panel replacment recommendations

Look into a Konnected panel replacement. Best of both worlds

Any chance this contraption would work? Question about mounting a minisplit on my van

You could also inboard a window unit with a grill outside. Several sub 10k new campers come with a "hidden" window unit. Effectively the rear of the AC sticks 1/4 in outside the wall of the camper but is blocked from view by the grate. You have to aluminum tape the base of the unit so it doesn't...

Any chance this contraption would work? Question about mounting a minisplit on my van

Cost could definitely be an issue, but there are fairly efficient ones available although not by variable minisplit standards. Several of the powersaver models would easily run on your generator tho. There are several RV ac units that are not installed on the roof. Not sure if you would have...

Any chance this contraption would work? Question about mounting a minisplit on my van

Why reinvent the wheel that's already been solved for campers? Is there a specific niche your filling for your specific use?
