POE Lighting? Are we there yet?

Surprised he didn't comment about the USB reference since it's actually an acronym, I mean if we aren't supposed to use acronyms......people forget how often something in common place usage are acronyms.

    Install AC myself?

They may be rare, but pre-charged and flared linesets for split systems most definitely exist.

Garage Pad pour issues... Advice needed!

Wow....who had the supplier come, them or you? If they ordered it I'd say it's still their problem. Gets to be a gray area if you did. I'd definitely be saving the delivery receipts from the concrete trucks either way. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

    Snap-On EPIQ thread disappearing

Re: Snap-On EPIQ Triple Bay Tool Box, $10,500 Why wouldn't they? You obviously signed up with this site in order to sell the box, that is surely not the intent of the General Garage Discussion Forum or the site in general. Instead you should try eBay, Craigslist, or your local classifieds...

Considering renting an excavator, can I really be useful with it?

I gathered from his post that he was only leveling 1000 sq foot of his yard not that he only had 1000 sq foot of yard. I could only assume that he has enough room for lead in's and turning but maybe not since you brought it up. I forget some of the yards get tight lol. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL...

Considering renting an excavator, can I really be useful with it?

Consider a guy with a good tractor? I could grade that down fairly quickly with out any issue with my top and tilt equipped box blade and then put my backhoe attachment to work digging the footers needed. I would say that this job would be easier to someone with a plain old tractor and box...

Diy large format cnc machine forums

Yes there would be no cutting force for mine either, 10-15 lbs of upward force from the spray but that's about it. Some of my roofs have a corner radius that would need to be sprayed at a angle towards the RV so that would be neat if I could incorporate that movement potentially. But honestly...

Diy large format cnc machine forums

I thought about gate opener chain lol. Maybe driven up each leg of the gantry and jackshafted from the top so there is just one motor to deal with, unless I could simply feed it from one side. I could use even gate track drilled to the concrete floor, gate chain keeping the cost lower. Will...

Diy large format cnc machine forums

I feel like I have two different directions. One would be to make something exactly like a gantry crane.. heavy and big then maybe have it pick up a axis assembly that could move faster left and right then have the gantry move back six inches at a time. Or...I'm thinking about more like a...

Diy large format cnc machine forums

Can anyone recommend a similar environment as GJ that caters to the diy cnc speciality? I'm starting out planning a stupid big cnc system and don't know where to begin. 10'x50'. I want to direct a spray wand around. My tolerance is extremely low as I'm spraying a good 12"x12" area at a time but...

    Cordless Caulk Gun, Worth It?

A decade ago I started with a Ryobi one. Was worth it then, I moved to DeWalt 5 years or so and my guys still use the Ryobi one ( with new batteries ) and I use the DeWalt one nearly daily. I won't even consider a hand caulking gun with some of the sealants I use. There is no other way. Well...

New shop build 40x60 plus a canopy

That sounds great, but it's easy to forget the details. Building cost, shipping cost, door cost, taxes. This one was 4 foot taller plus the canopy, with shipping and insulated doors and entry doors. Shipping alone was several thousand dollars (maybe a little more). Taxes was quite a bit. Most...

New shop build 40x60 plus a canopy

It was cheaper with the cantilever as it saved two posts. The building was from Heritage Buildings. I was very happy with everything honestly from price to the support. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

New shop build 40x60 plus a canopy

So built a new welding table today, was never happy with the old one, warped and way too wimpy. I've still got to built a retractable caster system, paint the frame, make some removable receiver style extensions etc but it's a start. The table top is 1 in plate 49 ish by 97 ish. I recessed the...

New shop build 40x60 plus a canopy

Thank you. I love the canopy it allowed me my work area needed and storage while sticking to a workable budget. It only cost 5 grand or so but it added so much workable room. I really want HVAC one day, unfortunately with the application bay I'll never really be able to effectively cool it...

New shop build 40x60 plus a canopy

I would imagine the Florida building codes are completely different from us. I bet the contractors stay busier as well with the constant storms. Either way 100 grand is completely nuts...I mean maybe if it's turn key or so but idk about just assembly. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

New shop build 40x60 plus a canopy

I paid 8 grand to have it put up with a few days of my own labor but not much really. The building was 29-30 with the two roll up doors and the over hang. I paid out the **** for the concrete slab but a good bit was prep we had to move a lot of dirt. It was 16000. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using...
