    Did the concrete supplier warranty the mix? Did your concrete guy warranty the pour? My guess is, they did not. Good luck, you need 28 days to fully cure. Don't let it freeze in those 28 days. Some turn out fine, some not so much.

    If you build close to your 250 year old tree you may kill it anyway. You may alter its ground water and starve it or flood it. With big trees it can take 5 to 7 years for this to happen. Good luck.

    This appears to be soffit venting. Now you need to create or confirm you have a ridge or roof vent. You should be able to see them from inside the building. After you install your ceiling and insulate make sure the soffit vents do not get covered. Baffles are available for this purpose...

    Broken bolt/cant weld or heat it

    I've done this. Use a small drill bit and very carefully drill around the circumference of the broken extractor. Keep at it untill you can pick the broken extractor out. Very tedious but it works. Now try a new extractor, be sure to turn this one clockwise.
