How early is too early to book a painter for my garage?

Painting materials have really increased in price. I had to go to a couple of different paint stores to get the quantity of paint I needed for our 2900 sq. ft. home. As for booking a painter, the sooner you call to book them the more likely you will be to get them at your home when you...

    Liftmaster 3800 is reversing

I agree with the above comment re spider webs, etc. that block the light beam for the child sensors- I hate those things.

Did I get a junk 4 post car lift?

I would hit it with some WD40 and wipe it clean. Probably fine.

Feasibility of lift in my garage

I have had 2 BendPak lifts and their customer service is exceptional. Great quality lifts with no issues.

New BendPak seems to be tilted.

I believe all garage floors have some slope to them. When we installed my 4-post BendPak we bolted it to the floor and shimmed it to be perfectly level. It never moved. I would not be able to look at it if the posts were all leaning. Additionally, I just wanted it secured to the floor...

Building new garage - Ceiling height for lift?

I appreciate all of the thoughts and suggestions. I had considered and in-ground lift, that is what I did in my last garage- but it was a scissor lift. This time I really do not want to put one in the ground. The reason being my brother and I are "senior citizens" and maybe in 10 years we...

Building new garage - Ceiling height for lift?

Hi everyone, Building a new garage, going to be about 1300 sq. ft. and I plan to install a Rotary 2-post lift. What would you recommend for a good ceiling height? I have already spec'd an 8" polished concrete floor so I will be able to mount the lot wherever we want. Thanks for your...

    New Uneven Slab

I don't know how some "contractors" get away with work like that and are still paid. That **** would be jack hammered out and re-poured and I would not pay the contractor a penny until it was done correctly.

How much extra prefinished hardwood flooring to keep just in case

I kept a full box, still factory sealed. It is stored up in the attic. Can't hurt to have it just in case.

    Trailer Lift (not Bendpak)

I would definitely consult BendPak directly. I have a BendPak in my current home and installed one in my last home too. They are great people and easy to work with. Give them a call.

    Car lifts

I had a BendPak 4-post in my last home and their mid-rise scissor in my home now. I use it about twice a week and have never had an issue with BendPak. In fact, their factory is located in Southern California and they came to my home, both times, to do the install. Very satisfied with them...

    Porcelain installer

I went PEI 5 on my garage porcelain tile and though not cheap, it has been a beautiful floor with no problems at all. Lots to consider when laying a garage floor. I went with 12x12 tiles on a straight lay pattern.

Bendpak decision: Good, Bad & Ugly

jbradjames - I am so sorry to hear about your issues related to delivery of your lift and damage. I will say that before I got lucky and BendPak agreed to do the install of my lift, I had contacted a couple of people/companies referred by BendPak for install. My experience with them was such...

What would it cost to sandblast and paint a scissor lift?

I would power wash it, degrease it and then go at it with a DA and get it smoothed out. Then degrease it again and prime and the scuff lightly and spray color after taping off all of the seals and sensitive areas.

Lift comparison ? Please help with reviews

I have had 2 BendPak lifts and love them. The first was a 4-post and then in my current home I installed an in-ground mid-rise scissor lift. BendPak was wonderful to work with both times. My wife and I are presently looking for another home on 3-5 acres so I can build a nice 60X35 shop and I...

    Lighting Layout for 64x40 garage

I used all LED lights for my garage remodel. Granted this was only a 33'x25 3-car garage. But the lighting is exceptional and I love it. My lights are only 1" deep and 2'x2' and they are solid LED panel. I put 40 of them in my garage and split them in 2 sections- every other light. They...
