Got the first Liftmaster 8500 rough installed. Will re-route all the wiring tomorrow on my day off. YOUTUBE LINK

My guess would be due to temperatures the garage may see (if it's not heated year-round). I chose to use Exterior Satin in my garage for that reason. I have a furnace in it, but it is not always heated. The exterior should hold up better to the low temperatures during winter.

Started installing one of the Liftmaster 8500's today during lunch. Got the opener mounted to the shaft and wall and the deadbolt lock installed. Ran out of time before I had head back to work.

Here's an example of the wall I did in my parent's garage. This wall was sanded up to 120 I believe. I think this was 2 coats of Killz and then 2 coats of a standard latex.

Parents stopped over after work today to help paint the single bay in the garage. One more coat of latex and then it's on to getting trim cut to lengths and painting trim.

When I sheeted the single bay side of my garage I went over all the sheets with a sander prior to hanging. After hanging I caulked all the seams with an acrylic based caulk and sanded the seams after it cured. I then put on 1 coat of Kilz and two coats of a Latex Exterior. It definitely doesn't...

Got my Liftmaster 8500's today. Set one up on one of the doors to get a feel for how much I need to shim them out when I go to install. Will probably install at least one of them this weekend.

I'd hope people don't plan on riding in shorts on any motorcycle.

Finished priming the single bay. Going to let the oil primer dry a couple days before I start putting the latex on it.

The panel will be stronger if you install it horizontally.

Got all the OSB/caulk seams sanded and just need to finish prepping the single bay side for paint. Some stuff to clear out, plastic to lay down, and dust on the walls to vacuum.

Swapped my old standard H4 headlight bulb for a new LED headlight bulb in the Hawk. Pictures are from 30 feet and are both low beam. (Didn't adjust vertical yet with the LED bulb). Old New

Had my extension springs replaced with torsion springs this morning. Up next, Liftmaster 8500's!

Started moving stuff around to clear space under the garage door in preparation for the replacement of my extension springs for torsion springs.

Got my desktop CNC mill working. Just have to find a vice for it now. Also got my fabrication bench moved to the wall in preparation for having my extension springs replaced with a torsion spring setup.
