Mega tool closeouts at Menards - Gearwrench, Masterforce and others

I went to the other Menards in my city last night, the prices between the stores were really off. No gearwrench sets available but still had a ton of the individual stubbys and single wrenchs--but the price was at least a buck more each than the other store.

    Boy injured from jack failure

With this being said, who can recommend a good 6-ton pair of jack stands? I've been somewhat looking around and pretty much everything i'm coming across is out of China and nobody likes the welds.

    Auto code readers w/ abs

This is intriquing me. However I don't think i'd have the time to truly use that to its potential. Also do I have to purchase vehicle specific software for each vehicle I own? That'll get pretty expensive if I do.

    Auto code readers w/ abs

Problem with that is HF charges a restocking fee on the code readers, I believe its like 15% of purchase price.

    Auto code readers w/ abs

Yeah the Actron they use at Autozone would not pull the code for my abs light on my 98 Lumina.

Snap on tool box key K5 18

Yeah, I thought the box was open--sorry. I didn't have my keys for my snap on box and a local locksmith wanted at least 50 just to make a key. I ended up just buying a new lockset for 22. If I were you i'd probably just drill out the middle of the lock and turn it with a screwdriver to open...

I would like to go that route, but no smartphone here.

    Auto code readers w/ abs

Hello All, looking to pick up a good code reader. Anyone have experience with either of these? I know the HF one is about 1/2 as much but the reviews aren't that great. Either would be used for repairs on American vehicles (1998-2006), mostly Chebies. I'd really like to stay under 200 bucks...

Gear wrench stubby sets at Menards 10 piece and 20 piece 50 percent off

I just got back from there. I passed on the x-beams--they seem pretty light weight to me. Just not a whole lot of material on 'em. They did have some pretty nice Masterforce 1/2" ratchets/breaker bars on sale too.

    Impact sockets

Mine have treated me well, I haven't been brave enough to try their regular chrome sockets.

    Flare nut wrench torque tests?

Probably common knowledge, but the H.F. flare nut wrenchs are garbage. After having one fall apart during a brake line job, I picked up the raised panel USA Craftsmans--haven't had a chance to use them yet to know if they're any good.

    Home Depot Clearance Thread 2014

My local HD had the LED Mag Light flash lights marked down from 22-29 dollars to 5 bucks. I'm assuming they do this regularly because batteries are included.
