Help: Broken Tap in Flight Hardware

I would use drill bits as big as would fit in the flute cavities and grab both with a pair of pliers, and turn.

Interesting new tool. Too pricey for, but thought I’d share

Gripedgetools.com Unique hex head tool design. I’d be interested in trying them at $60 a set but $100 a set for new tech from an unknown company is too much for me.

mild steel, pilot hole or no pilot hole?

I have read through a few posts here on GJ. For example this one: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/pilot-holes.56286/ And there doesn't seem to be a True general consensus. So if i'm drilling 3/8 eighths or half inch holes should I be doing a 1/8 inch pilot holes? Apparently it is...

    2023 Garage Sale Thread

So it finally happen to me. I found the baby bullet at the fleamarket. It wasn't at some high-end table, or with a bunch of snap on tools. It was on a tarp on the ground surrounded by cheap Chinese tools. This bad boy cost me $18. It only took me eight years of going to the fleamarket 1 to 3...

    Anybody Got a Jawhorse?

I love it, and hate it. It is a fantastic tool and for what it does, it does it very well. the clamping force was enough to put snap-on screw driver shafts into new handles. BUT. I almost never use it. And even all folded up, it's bigger and a PITA to store. And when I do use it, I am...

    Welder Needed

Primeweld has an almost cult following. 99.9% of users love them, and rave about the support. I started with an older 110 Lincoln flux core and then bought a primeweld mig 180. I have put about an hour total of small jobs with it. Absolutely love it. And then it broke 2 days ago. I won't go...

Could i have killed my welder?

I got a nice primeweld mig 180 welder. I took almost a year to finally install the 6/2+ground wire through the house. I bought a 25ft 6/3 RV extension cord to go on it as well. I did a few very small welding jobs, all of which went really well, I really like the machine. Maybe a hour total...

    What is this used for?

only by seconds! BTW that is a high-end also, if that matters. seals in the jack might be blown though, which would explain the side of the road situation.
