    Sk Pear-Shaped, USA ratchet opinions

I have a decent selection in the LP90 ratchets in my box and I have been fortunate that I had great luck with them. I also got my dad a 3/8 and 1/2 for his box. The only one I have issues with is the 3/8 stubby. If I run the screws all the way down on the cover plate it gets very stiff. If I...

What tools have you recently gotten past TSA in your carry on baggage?

I would really hate to be put on the no fly list or become a test case over a ratchet or combo wrench myself.

Craftsman 40" 1 drawer middle chest

I'd give valuable parts of my anatomy to find one local to me. But they aren't common at all. I'm thinking whenever we move and I get my shop/garage built I'll just add more storage and put the stuff I don't use very often in there and have the box for what I use the most of.

Looking for a Ryobi Nack Knife

My brother gave me one of those branded as a Craftsman. I was curious if the blades were discontinued and stopped using it. When I get home I'll have to search for it.

    Auto body panel tools

What does the hive mind recommend for body panel removal tools? I need to pull the interior panel off my dad's Yukon to reattach the door handle for him and want to make this as painless and easy as possible.

    Clutch head screwdrivers

I have a Carlyle that I have had good luck with, like everyone else said I just buy them at estate sales. Very few people know what they are or what to use them for. Last I knew, Snap-On was making them as sockets at least.

What stuff still requires SAE even if your doing all metric work?

HVAC and plumbing systems in your home. Most lawnmowers for some reason, almost all better grade zero turn mowers use SAE, and in my case the old junky stuff I like to accumulate and work on.

New Torque Test Channel Video Wrench Testing Video

For many years I operated under the assumption that pros only used truck brands, and only bought from one truck. I then learned most of the good wrenches used the best tool for the job and the bought from the driver of a truck, not from a specific brand. I think a lot of guys don't know that a...

How useful are long straight no flex ratchets?

I have a long 3/8" Mac that is nice for hard to reach places, I never really thought about it for leverage/torque. For access, it's hard to beat.

I married into a Prius or else I wouldn't really care either. Then my mom bought a 4Runner so I have more excuses.

I'm looking at Vessel since I need some JIS tips in the box, along with the several dozen other screwdrivers I've hoarded over the years.

Stahlwille 14 or Wright Grip? Lengths and your thoughts?

I always thought Wright was about average or even maybe a touch shorter than other combo wrenches out there. But I'm not getting rid of mine anytime soon either.

    Who makes the Matco micrometers?

Don't sell yourself short partner. You're way more intelligent than the average individual out there, I deal with their stupidity professionally in my work. You need to think higher of yourself and demand more for yourself. You're capable of far more than you're allowing yourself to think.

Organization of Socket Drawer / Top Drawer Metric + Fractional SAE Discussion

Mine is arranged by drive size then broken down into SAE/Metric/Specialty sockets from there. It works for my mind.
