    QuickJack Sale!

Would not recommend stacking the blocks despite any instruction. There are extenders for trucks and lifted vehicles. Proper use and positioning of QJ's is essential. Raise to level of frame to make sure correct contact and stability. Level floor/driveway surface is also essential.

    QuickJack Sale!

Keep in mind that there is a lock feature at full and half height. A cam locks the jack after you raise fully and lower a bit. Add standard jack stands if you are worried. Personally, I feel the huge difference in surface area and construction of the QuickJacks make them even safer than some...

    QuickJack Sale!

These are great units for oil changes, brake work, elevation for detailing and much more. I keep mine on the ground in the down position and just drive over them after centering on the garage floor. They are heavy and some hang them on wall.. but I just installed some roller balls on the bottom...

    Award Tools

I have the same Award tack puller as the OP, but one of the fangs on mine broke off. This tool was super handy and effective when I removed carpet underlayment and tackless that was stapled into the subfloor. I will probably replace, but likely will not be able to find it new. Guessing any...

Car Jump starter recommendation, avoid NOCO please

Happy to report replacement unit is performing much better than original. I have used as in the past for tractor and passenger car duty and is is holding charge way longer and only requires a seldom recharge. Not sure if there was a leak rate issue with original, but the performance of the...

    Stanley R & L Co. Bedrock No. 605

Too many projects so I do not have the time to restore. Someone offered me $50 but I think that is too low. Have a few other Stanley's also. Just want to be sure it is not rare or anything before I let it go.

Car Jump starter recommendation, avoid NOCO please

Followup. Just sent the unit off to Clore as it was within a year and warranty applied. It did cost about $35 to send it back, so I have to take that into consideration as I explore other units. I will report here if/when replacement shows and keep tabs on how the replacement holds up. This unit...

Car Jump starter recommendation, avoid NOCO please

Bought a Clore JNC550A last Feb. and used it for my old cars an my lawn tractor. About 2 months ago it would not even crank the 13hp Kohler in my lawn tractor immediately after being plugged in. Odd thing is that it says it is fully charged. I have watched the voltage readout gradually decrease...

    Tool ID - Any Ideas?

The "020" in the picture is the spitting image of what I have. Classification is of interest, but more the manufacturer. It is stamped personally by my grandfather, so that makes it a keeper for me. How confident should I be that this is a Snap-On tool?

    Tool ID - Any Ideas?

This actually makes more sense as the tools are from my grandfather's toolbox. They are marked with his initials and he worked as a mechanic back in the 40's/50's. The "020" and his initals are the only markings I can see.
