How do I get a wood baseball bat out of a cleanout?

This or make one like it. Like a dog catcher. To make just get a 2ft piece of pipe, run a piece of wire down and then back up the pipe putting the loop at the bottom, place loop on bat and pull both ends of the wire to tighten.

How do I get a wood baseball bat out of a cleanout?

PVC pipe bigger than diameter of bat. Some small screws in the pipe angled up. Drop the pipe over the bat and hopefully the screws catch it like barbs. Forgive horrible drawing from iPhone.
