    Cleaning Nicotine Garage Doors

You haven’t lived until you have seen that brown liquid dripping down the walls. I’ve had to clean to houses with a heavy smoker the first time I didn’t really know what it was at first. The second was the entire house of an old chain smoker. Good times.

Garage Cabinets: think I got played

Don’t worry it’s over now. Enjoy what you got which looks decent. Nothing good coming out of second guessing or trying to figure out how you could have got cheaper. Good new you won’t need cabinets now for many years! P.S. I’m a chronic second guesser, drives my wife crazy!

    Tekton Folding Ratchet

Ratchets - flex vs non flex, locking vs non locking

I upgraded last year from Craftsman to Snap-on I got 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” fixed and 1/4”, 3/8” flex. I don’t lock locking heads. They are great but not so night and day honestly to my nicer craftsman or even Gear Wrench. :0 Im glad I got them I do however wish I’d have gone extra long. The...

    Snow Guard Install Question

I already worry about snow load. Why would you want to trap it up there? How much snow do you get? My cabin has heavy snow and a metal roof, people have had their roofs compress the entire structure from the snow load.

    Winter water shutoff valves

Thanks all. Went down to take a closer look. These valves are at the bottom of a very narrow shaft. It’s an adventure getting down there. Look like I can replace the handle as it looks like the tabs broke. Good news is the valve it working just fine. Broken tabs can be seen on the valve in...

    Winter water shutoff valves

I’ll have to go down and look the valves are down about 10 ft in a crawl space. You use a big t handle to turn them and it’s very likely he turned it the wrong way thinking it was stuck a little.

    Winter water shutoff valves

Not sure where this post should go but here goes. I have a winter cabin that I just purchased this year. We have valves to shutoff the water and drain the pipes. It’s been very straightforward we shut off water and open drains when we leave during the winter. I had to have someone stop...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

I got the 6,4,2 m12 battery deal for $129. At one point they had the inflator, a battery and charger for $84. Got one at that price and one at $99 and didn’t want to bother returning for the $15 and risk going to the store.
