I bought 2 2x4x8's of the plain jane stuff last week for a bench project in NJ. $8.50 each. So I wouldn't say prices are going down yet. Building here is crazy and good contractors are booked 6-12 months out, even for small repair jobs.

hey ersatz2, what size is the unit you will be getting? I loved your current garage build thread that I read quite a while ago and can only imagine what this one will be like. If I knew I would be staying in the Princeton area for the long haul, I would be purchasing now...

I am seriously considering one of the smaller 500sqft garages. Has the pricing stayed close to what was published on their website? ($125/sqft unfinished) For that price, monthly payments on a loan wouldn't be much more than a storage unit in these parts.

Really bummed after seeing some of the newer houses you all have purchased. I'm pretty good with saving and spending only when necessary, but still am not even close to getting a place like that. I feel with you Mr. 360. Some of these newer places shown here would easily coat $750K with $15-20K...

Not quite. Normally on the integras, the battery is located behind the front passanger side shock tower, in front of the firewall. Great garage build Synik. I need to rebuild my integra to be as clean as yours.

I always use 5052 for anything that requires bending. Pretty common and rather inexpensive.

Great space. I hope one day to have a workshop like that. I do miss wrenching and working in the garage. I hope to get my FSAE car running to AutoX and a FF would just be a dream for road course lapping. Just a bummer that everything in the Mercer County area is so expensive. I've lived in NJ...

My 12 Ton HF press auto-tilts when I press things too! My plan was to weld the bolted beams together when I get my welder up and running. Also I think a color change is necessary.

Nice job all around. I would love to do this when I purchase a house. A house like that up here would be pushing 500-600K. (with 10+k in taxes/year!)
