    Re store finds

I would put that in a First aid kit... to give CPR to some of the hard Hearted people I have known! Nice find, I always check for Railroad markings, even on abused or rusty tools.

Pickaxe........WHY do people call it that??

I also hang up a phone, roll down the window in my pickup and one car. The strange thing is that I close windows on a computer! :)

Worse country for manufacturing hand tools

Artic and Antarctica would seem to me to be the ideal places to produce cold rolled steel and ICE engines... :)

2025 Garage Sale Thread (14th Annual)

Been back to this estate sale that has been On and Off on certain weekends since January 11th. The owner was a hoarder and had a garage, sheds, and several rental apartments on one property. They were all full to the brim. A lot of it was pure junk that needed to be thrown. The sellers...

    Clamps Antique and Vintage

Most clamps are very basic in design, which makes sense. However, some of the older ones are somewhat fancy in design and tend to stand out. On a different tangent, one of the most beautiful Clamps I remember from my younger days was Ellie May Clampett... :)

    Vintage unknown maker sockets

Thanks Lugnutz. I already found that thread. I spent a couple of hours trying to research these before posting. These just 'sorta' fit the Snap-on mold but not quite right to me. And they sorta fit the Husky look also especially the way the 3 and 2 look. The I and T stamp somewhat look...

    Vintage unknown maker sockets

These were in a full Snap On K21 Tool Box I bought at an Estate Sale. I did not look very much at the contents of the box when I bought it because I wanted the Toolbox. When I started looking at the contents these sockets immediately caught my attention. First thing I though was early...

2025 Garage Sale Thread (14th Annual)

Nothing real big. However the first Emporium Specialties (ES Tools) I have ever run across. Another wrench I did not recognize the name was ROCO. Looked up ROCO tools. Irish company and they make ICON. Looked up their ICON 1100 and it is a multi ton Rock Crusher. I have not seen one in...

Nail sets (most trivial tool recommendation thread ever)

Looking around at a lot of women, Nail Sets seem to be pretty popular with them. :) Quite a lot of times I find nail sets in tool lots I have found in auctions, garage sales, etc. I just throw them in with my punches and chisels since I do not do much wood work where I need to set nails. I...

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

Same with all of the Studebakers I had. Once engine was running, the starter would not engage when pressing the clutch pedal where the starter button was located.

2025 Garage Sale Thread (14th Annual)

Thanks for the info. I am a little familiar with brands, having worked with various ranchers/farmers in my teens as temporary help. I do not know how many cows I have put the Rafter Y L brand on. I just have no idea why someone would use the GE logo, which is somewhat unconventional and a...
