90% off Wiha large Standard or Metric Wrenches

I wrote the below; incorrect info, they are in fact flat. Sorry for any confusion. Those ratchet wrenches are angled; I don't see a reversing toggle on them. They'll work fine in one direction, but in the other direction, the handle is pointing in an awkward position to work with, in a...

    Best locking pliers comparison

So, how would you test these pliers? What tests would you like to see him perform? How many different plier types do you base your statement on? Personally, I find the tests informative to some extent; it's always fun/informative to see things tested to the max limits. For some of these tests...

    Stake pocket stake inserts

I just threw that out there as an example of what's available. Depending on what you're doing, it might work if you set things up properly. 3-1/2" tube gets pricey.

Poll: If you had a small 'weekend shop' and were choosing just two vises, what two sizes would you prefer (excluding wood working vises)?

A lot depends on your work-benches...how sturdy they are. I got a Reed like the one posted and it takes a decent size bench to make it useful. Whatever size you get, get the swivel model, it does add to its usefulness.

Curious: Does anyone power & heat their garage with a stationary watercooled engine?

What are you going to do when you don't need the heat but need the power?

Do you do any kind of freeze protection on central ac unit?

I cover the top and turn the power off to the compressor. There's a heater in the compressor to heat the oil to de-gas the oil. No sense running that all winter.

Need a cheap location to learn to weld

The place I worked at had them at every maint shop...couple dozen of them. A couple of them stunk so bad from spilled chemicals, I wouldn't go in them. Smelled like an insecticide on steroids.
