Anyone catch the new Richard Rawlings "Garage Rehab" show last night?

I liked it but found the timetable to be unrealistic for most businesses. I spent a great deal of my restaurant career as a corporate fixer to rescue failing or troubled store or as a freelancer jumping into rehab franchisees. The hardest and most important part is training the people! I had...

Plumbing Conundrum - Sink with no hot water but great flow rate

Sounds like you have cold water flowing to a faucet and into the hot side then to your warm faucet. Try turning off the hot side under some other faucets and retest. Bruce

    Worlds smallest Proto wrench

Checking a Proto tool board has this as the smallest ignition wrench. 1204 through 1220 even numbers only except for 1205, 1209 and 1211. I have a 1205-e 5/32 that is truly tiny! Bruce

    Another New Member From Texas

You can look at my garage thread to see some of my "inventory". I don't have any pics since I got the 96 Cobra or the 04 Mach or the 69 Cougar Eliminator so you decide if they will impress her. I only get away with it because she raids the car fund occasionally for a new kitchen or a killer...

    Hammering on a combination wrench

Soft face hammer. Learned this from an ancient mechanic who had a wooden hammer that he would tap a wrench with. Never saw him just wailing on anything either...just tap, tap, tap and it would come loose. I think it was an old meat tenderizer mallet in a previous life. For heavier work, my Dad...
