    Best budget USA tools

Ebay for auctions of SK sockets sold as lots. I've found many, many sockets that way. Tekton has some (not everything) USA made tools, and they're great. Their non USA stuff is great too, as a side note. Newer Craftsman stuff that is Chinese just aren't very good in my experience, but garage...

    husky ratcheting wrenchs

Husky tools have been great for me professionally. If/ when they need warrantied, Home Depot has been really easy to deal with the 3 times I needed them. I bought individual sizes that I would need and they've been just fine, though I don't use them a lot or for really forceful nuts and bolts

Hart Tools Walmart - Warranty is a PITA

That's about as accurate as "the customer is always right". Someone mentioned it earlier: buy a new one, return the old one with that packaging and receipt. Corporations pull all kinds of loopholes, do one of your own. That said, I have a couple Hart tools but I assumed the warranty would be a...

    Wire Stripping Tool

I've recently been doing some wiring and realized I don't know if I like my wire strippers that much. One pair is a basic 12-20g Klein and the other is the auto trigger style Harbor Freight. They both serve their purpose, but both could be better. As we do here, what wire strippers are your...

    Refill grease gun from pail

As to not be wasteful, for one. Just don't be a slob and it'll be fine. It's not that big of a deal

Was there a time China made a decent hand tool?

Um they make plenty of good things today and have for many, many years

Harbor Freight 3 Ton Daytona Jack Versus Snap On FJ300 Jack

Thank you! I kept rephrasing "harbor freight" and "mechanic" and couldn't get it. I appreciate it, sorry to interrupt the thread

Harbor Freight 3 Ton Daytona Jack Versus Snap On FJ300 Jack

Speaking about the HF jack and hijacking at the same time (and not wanting to start a new thread for a question like this), does anyone know what the thread is about the mechanic who used nothing but HF tools? It was a very long thread, but I can't seem to find it. Even googling didn't render...

I'm not sure exactly how different they are from Irwin Hanson and Harbor Freight models, but when you need them, you NEED them for sure

Do you get to take any of your paycheck home or does it all go to the tool trucks? Kidding aside, those Turbo Sockets are a definite want for me. I've got some similar style ones and they worked well, so I'd like the real deal brand

Is this Ryobi $170 angle grinder better than this Ryobi $80 angle grinder?

I have the cheaper one and I see no point in spending more for the expensive one. It works really well. Since you already have batteries, it's not like you drain one in minutes then have to wait hours to charge it. Just swap it out. I would buy it again

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

https://www.harborfreight.com/20-in-locking-chain-clamp-56400.html Diesel mechanic, the Bremen locking chain pliers are a major pass. Buy them now. I'll vouch for them. They removed a fuel filter that was seemingly welded and super glued on, when nothing else could do anything except scratch...

Your opinion on Titan hand tools?

The micro ratchets (1/4 bit, swivel head, and offset) are great for lighter stuff. Kind of an obvious statement since they're 1/4, but I've used them inside vehicles and under hoods. I've never used ****** stuff because I already have what I assume are better quality tools for that. I can...

Comprehensive Wrench Test by Project Farm

He's one of the few guys that is watchable in YouTube. He doesn't do the "instant thumbs down" things such as: 1. Not editing wasted time out 2. He doesn't talk to the camera as if the person is there-"Hey guys, how are you doing? Hope everyone is having a great day" 3. "Before watching my...

    Tire Pressure Gauge

That amazon link is intriguing, that's a neat design. I didn't think of a bike gauge, either. I've researched some more since posting and it turns out I'll need about 200psi, being used on larger trucks and semis
