    Unfinished unfinished flooring

Thanks for all the replies guys, I'm not hearing anyone say don't do it. I still have time to decide. One thing that is appealing to me it that Oak, for instance, would actually make the floor stronger versus other options like vinyl.

In my defense I was left unsupervised at Home Depot.

Man, you're going to love that circular saw. To me that's one of the best tool to have cordless.

    Unfinished unfinished flooring

Under the (future) hardwood is Advantec and the shed floor is a minimum 12"above the ground. I am not familiar with Hardwood Plank/barn flooring. That may be an option. In my experience the cheapest form of hardwood is 2"flooring, but if it can be done cheaper I'm all ears.

I used a carpet cleaner on my garage floor – Good results!

I'm going to give this a try whenever I clear out my present projects to where I can get to the floor.

    Unfinished unfinished flooring

I searched and couldn't find a thread on this. I an considering putting down unfinished hardwood flooring in a really nice shed build and not finishing it. Obviously moisture and staining would be a concern but I think that might add to the rustic look. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and...

    But.....air tanks don't actually blow up......right?

This thread prompted me to go onto the Quincy safety website. This is copied directly from Quincy: Take steps to prevent rust: One of the most dangerous possibilities when it comes to air compressors is a rusty tank. Rust increases the unit’s chances of combusting, putting anyone nearby in...

Which cordless tool brand is going to have the longest production life?

I got burned by Black and Decker, Makita and Craftsman back in the early days. I placed my bet on Milwaukee for my modern tools. I feel like the industry is too mature now for them to pull the battery form change trick. Milwaukee has introduced several new batteries in the past 10...

    Oil change fluid extractor

From everything I've read this is debatable. I will say it has been the defacto standard for many boaters who keep their boat in the water or on a lift. I think a good solution will be to do the change via the drain plug every 3rd change.

    Oil change fluid extractor

Guys, I'm paralyzed by analysis. I have many tools and toys that require oil changes. I'm trying to sync all the annual oil changes to one oil change day. Most of the engines in question have their own starter battery. I'm thinking I should get a battery powered oil extraction pump as I can...

Wrong fuel put in rental machine?

Frankly, I worry about doing this to my own stuff. We own a Diesel truck, tractor and Gator. Everything else is gas. Knowing how I get in my "zone" when working with my hands I could see myself screwing that up.

common air quick connect (plug) styles

What is the interface that comes on an air tool purchased at Home Depot? That's the one I want to standardize on.

Insurance for your tools and your tools after death……

I'm 55 years old my Dad passed 20 years ago. I have most of his tools, some of those were his father's. One of those tools is a yellow handled lineman's pliers. That was my grandfather's then my father's. They were made some time before WW2. I can remember using those pliers as a very young...

    $200 Running Stihl MS660 - Now What?

Ha, around here a 10 year old Stihl Chainsaw that's been around the block costs about $5 less than a brand new one. Same can be said for equipment trailers, wood lathes and all the other stuff I'm looking for a deal on...; ) Good find.

Bosch Nano Chainsaw - smallest chainsaw blade I've ever seen

I agree with this being a solution in search of a problem. I can think of 3 tools off the top of my head that I already own that would do everything this thing does an them some. As for the plunge cut, I would think the trouble of drilling a single hole for a jig saw would be offset by the...

    Work Boots!

So, what changed with boot making? In 1986 my dad bought me a pair of Timberland Boots before I left for college in the mountains. In 1986 they cost $80. I slathered a thick layer of Sno Seal on them and wore them every day in the winter walking to class in the snow. I also wore those boots...

My daughter tells me that crocs became so uncool that they are now cool. Kids are wearing them ironically now.

    Highest Rated Product on Amazon?

Some places cook the books in other words if you submit a positive review directly to them they will offer you some perk if you submit a positive review on Amazon. Other less scrupulous companies will flood the zone with positives from compensated actors. Amazon has done a decent job of...

    Is ICON the new Craftsman?

I feel like Lowe's and HD more equate Sears of old. To me Sears Craftsman of the 90s/0Xs was about mid level tools that a homeowner could depend on to last. That seems to be the space Lowes/HD occupy now, albeit in a multi-vendor approach. Kobalt/Husky specifically fit that bill. Shoot...
