Spare parts for Craftsman (King Seeley) drill press 100 series

McMaster Car 4061T246 and 5345K72 for the rubber parts. As previously mentioned on this site, the 5335 item is 1” a Cam lock gasket. The 4061 are square o-rings. Might be a bit thicker but shouldn’t affect anything. Verify the diameters for your application before you order.

    Low Cost MIG Welder

My old mig, a 220v Linde, finally gave up the ghost after about 30 years. Bought the Lincoln 220v 180. I can’t believe how much better the welds are.

    Old Craftsman/Atlas(?) Drill Press

A Craftsman 150 floor model with a 220 v motor went on marketplace yesterday for $100. I saw it this morning and took me till noon to convince myself that I needed a second one. Contacted the lady and drove about 75 minutes to get it. She believes her dad bought it new as her mom worked at Sears...

Craftsman Drill Press Information Belts, Bearings, Chucks, Keys, etc…1946-1984

Paint question. All the drill presses I have appear to be satin finish. I’m in the middle of restoring a bench model 100, my first restore of a drill press. The paint under the protractor for the table tilt appears to be gloss. The paint under the band on the head unit appears satin. I prefer...

Craftsman Drill Press Information Belts, Bearings, Chucks, Keys, etc…1946-1984

I hope you have nightmares reminding you how you stole that drill press!! Saw a decent 150 floor mount for $40 On Market Place. If it was a little closer I would have bought it, but probably give him $100. Messaged the guy that it was way underpriced and gave him some places to get a...

The Allure of the Atlas Drill Press

My own preference would be to find a period correct motor. The Craftsman Emerson 150 I picked up for myself is good enough that I will not restore it, at least not now. But the motors on those just don’t look good in my opinion. Found on Marketplace the Craftsman motor with the bands that fit...

Need help with original color of this band saw

If you can take a smaller piece with good paint to about any local hardware store that mixes paint, they can most likely match it. I looked at numerous paint chips trying to match the dark grey of the Craftsman 150 drill press. Found one that appears real close. The motor mount has very good...

The Allure of the Atlas Drill Press

Aronatron, I am looking at doing some nickel plating on a couple of Craftsmen 150’s I am getting ready to restore. Never plated before but it looks pretty straight forward. Curious as to the dimensions of the nickel you used and how long the strips last. Thanks.

Craftsman Drill Press Information Belts, Bearings, Chucks, Keys, etc…1946-1984

Looking for information on the 6426 chuck that is in one of the drills I just picked up and ran across this 1974 Jacobs chuck catalog. Not sure if this was the right place to post it. You can download it from the link. https://archive.org/details/jacobs-chucks-catalog-200-c-1974

Custom Drill Press Multi-Speed Adapter (For Atlas 63)

Very nice. Like the bearing. Was going to make one for my 150 using oil lite bushings but then I found a complete 150 with one for $100. Will swap that one over. Will probably still make one as I have the parts now and what else do I have to do!

Another Craftsman 150 Drill Press restore

Read many of the Craftsman drill posts and cannot find what specific years/model/reason for the gold drill presses vs the grey. Looking for expert feedback!

Craftsman Drill Press Information Belts, Bearings, Chucks, Keys, etc…1946-1984

Picked up a very nice floor Craftsman Emerson 150 a few weeks ago for under $300. Still had a Craftsman branded belt. Also been looking at a floor Emerson 150 with a vise and an older Craftsman bench (bad motor) from the same owner(different owner from the 150 I bought a few weeks ago). This 150...
