definitely some small steel plate shims would be your best but you may get some rusting if you don't use SS. The mat would make it feel better but you are essentially putting the same shim under all the wheels and the center will eventually compress and you would get the same as having no shim...

Funny how the "MADE IN CHINA" is blurred out in the pictures of the tool handle. He is pushing the "MADE IN USA" in his ad. You can't tell me he didn't know they were made in China. Definitely mis-representation. I agree on the hassle of returning but not much else you can do if you want to hold...

you may want to look at some of the small portable lift that slide under or drive over. they lift approx. 40-48" so you would only need the 8' ceiling and with the $$ you save the lift would almost be free... They do limit some work under the center of the car though. tradeoffs everywhere...
