Looking to buy my first torch

I would recommend the Victor performer kit for you. Some people say Victor makes the kit sold at Harbor Freight. I don't know if that's true or not. HF kit about $135 with coupon. Bottles is where the expense is. Auctions, CL, farm sales are an option if you're not in a hurry.

Some years ago over on Smokestack, there was a link to a "break loose torque" test of nearly all commercial and non commercial rust penetrating products. The 50/50 ATF/Acetone won handily.

    Accumulator tanks

One thing about running an accumulator tank is that it usually is the "dry" tank and the first tank is the "wet" tank. I run an accumulator tank for this reason.

    Air Impacts are DEAD

As owner and heavy user of 2 3/8" air, 4 1/2" air, 2 3/4" air, 2 1" air, and 2 3/8" batt, 3 1/2" batt, and 1 3/8" batt ratchet---I say it will a LONG time before air tools disappear. Problem with Precision Instruments split beam torque wrench

They're probably still laughing. That's why they haven't got back to you. Yet to see the vehicle that came with a torque wrench instead of a lug wrench in the trunk. Re: Tips & Tricks Gave me the great idea of welding one 1/2 drive square to one angle iron and one 3/8 drive square to the other angle iron. That way I can use different size sockets for different size u-joints.

    SK tools core focus

In 1957, when I got my first car, my Dad bought me a SK tool chest full of tools. I Think he said they cost around $350 (about $3000 today) or about 5 times the price of the car. He said if I took care of the tools, they would last me a lifetime. So far, he was right. All the sockets are 12 pt...

I put a flap type pet door in garage door about 20 years ago. Plastic flap lasted about two years.
