    how many BTU's?

This calculator seems pretty accurate. I have a 19.5x26 garage with a ceiling that averages about 12'. Insulation is R19 in the walls, R21 in the cathedral area, R30 in the ceiling, and an insulated slab. I selected good insulation and the calculator says just over 24k Btu. My current heater is...

    Bend-Pak XP-9F/XP-9FX Question

A friend of mine has the 9f. He went with it because he only had a 11' ceiling. Many of the clear-floor lifts have a top beam that requires a 12' or greater ceiling. He has been using it for about 2 years now and has not had any problems with.

Lift options for less than 4" thick pad

I consulted with Bendpak when I was having my slab poured. They referred me to a few docs to answer my questions. I recall reading slab repair instructions in one of them if the slab was cracked within **" of the posts. It was what you are looking for. I don't recall where I saw it. Give them a...

Asymmetric Lift Distance from Front Wall

With the asymmetric I was hoping to be able to only go back 10' from the front wall and still have room for a 30" workbench in front of it. Not sure If I can work this out. I am going to have them make the pads 2' x 4' so I will have some room to work with when I eventually get the lift. I...

I need some feedback from current owners of asymmetric lifts. My floor gets poured in the next few days and we are doing piers. 2X4 walls VS 2X6 walls

My architect specified 2x6 walls for my 11'+ plate height. It does cost a bit more but it is built like a rock which I like. I suppose I will make up the cost in x number of years with heating costs.

    Entry Door < 30" Wide

Thanks for the replies everyone. I looks like I am going to try to find a solid core 28" wood door and cut that down a bit. Making the entry wider is not an opton, if I had a pic you could see why. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Entry Door < 30" Wide

I struck out at all of the big box stores and local lumber yards. Unfortunately I don't have the option on going with anything larger then 28" and even that does not really allow me to use a molding on the inside corner. I am not worried about the size of the door. I have the 16' x 7' garage...

    Small Gas Water Heaters Available?

If you already have a boiler you could also go with an indirect water tank and heat it as a zone off of your main system. Suburban and Atwood are two companies that make heaters for RV's. http://www.rvcomfort.com/suburban/products/water/water.php http://www.atwoodmobile.com/Products/default.cfm

    In-floor safes/boxes

I would go with the suggestion already made. Use a regular in floor safe and keep your files in a waterproof Pelican case inside of it. http://pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1430
