    rattle_snake's random shop projects v0.1

I usually go into neutral to see if its a driveline or axle issue. The vibration will either reduce or change once its not loaded. I am glad you found it though. Vibrations can get expensive once all the more common things have been excluded.

I'm mixing in old and new projects as I go till I am caught up to the current progress on the shop. I stated before that a few months ago I won an Bridgeport at an auction so figured I would give some details on that. I really went back and forth on what kind of Mill I wanted. I would see...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The DIY Metal Fabrication Shop Build

I just read through your thread and love all your projects although looking at the rigs you built before the sidekick, i was sure it was going to get SAS'd with yota axles or similar. Shop looks great and you are going to overjoyed with all that room.

Does the vibration change at all if you pull in the clutch? Does the steering wheel shake?

    Advice for a 4 x 6 bandsaw

I have a HF one that cut square right out of the box. I use it almost every time i'm out in the shop and its never thrown a blade or done anything wonky.

    Tig tungsten sharpeners

Am I really missing out by not having one? I have a 12" dayton disc sander and i use that while spinning the tungsten in my hand. I don't seem to have issues with the arc but maybe I do and just don't notice it because that was I'm used to. Is it worth the purchase?

Appreciate it Mike. Compared to some of your stuff this is all childs play. Appreciate the compliment. The wife and I like doing the same things and we got lucky that the kids love the outdoor thing as well. I do wish i got more seat time on my KTM but the kids are only young once. Doing...

Alright back to current projects that involve the shop. I won a Bridgeport mill at an auction several months back from a paper towel/tissue company. I won a few other things including 6 or 7 large oscillating fans for something like 30 bucks. I finally got around to getting one mounted but had...

I forgot about one other earlier project that I had done. This was one of those fun quick projects. I think I had this one done in a week. It was a fun bike but was still a dreadfully slow VLX600. I cut the rear of the frame off, ebay solo seat, Sheet metal side covers replaced the...

    Show us your welding projects

Ive wondered about those as well. Ive got an ac/dc tig but a spool gun for my Miller 211 would be a nice addition but not the $400 they want for one. Sent from my SM-G960U using The Garage Journal mobile app

You need a brand new never used Hi-Lift jack mounted in plain sight to complete the mall crawler look.

    HF Welder Flux 125

My Jackson helmet was around 100 bucks and in my experience much better than the HF helmet. For the welder I would look at the used market for a reputable brand. I bought a Lincoln 100amp almost 20 years ago and its still going strong although not used much anymore except when i need a...

    Some of Bodj Built's builds

Sorry to here about all the missing parts. Makes you wonder if the guy before just misplaced a bunch of stuff or sold things off. I think the more seat time you get on the ktm will be the end of the kdx or maybe the start of a kx/kdx hybrid build. Sent from my SM-G960U using The Garage...

Thank you for following along Bob. What took you out of Arizona? I've been all over this country and lived on both coast but for me nothing compares to it. I just like old cars even though it might not seem that way since I only have fords. I was actually looking for a 66 or 67 nova or...

Last project and then I'll get back to the shop The F1 was a valentines day gift to my wife. She wanted an old truck and left it up to me to pick what year and body style. I was after an F1 or a 58 or 59 Chevy shortbed fleetside. I found the f1 first and went and picked it up. She sat...

After driving the car like that for a few months I quickly grew tired of the sloppy handling and 3000rpm at freeway speeds. I bought all new bushing for the front end as well as a much larger sway bar. Then i looked into just upgrading the springs and shocks but by the time I did all that it...
