who wants a aircraft based creative challenge?

I dealt with that on a workbench top i built and never found an easy way to get it of so I don' have any advice. What are you planning to power your Sonex with? A couple guys on the field here have the jabiru setup and I know another one a a different field had a VW conversion.

I decided to trim out the lifts in angle iron. I did this for two reasons. The concrete edge was getting beat up and I wanted a lip on the edge so a transmission jack or something similar could never drop a wheel in the pit. Frame is 1/8" 2x2 angle. I had to grind some concrete away for...

    12' drywall vertical

I did 12' sheets hung vertical/commercial on 1/2 of my garage and it wasn't too bad by myself. I did ugly up the edges on a few when getting them into position. I just caulked my seams with the intent that I would tape and mud down the road. I wanted to be able to remove a section easily if I...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Ernie's Place

Wow, I can't believe how much the cabins and the actual mine have deteriorated since i was last there. That used to be a pretty gnarly trail when it was open, you'd go up past the mine, up the mountain, and then back down. I'm jealous of that compressor. I've had my eye out for a deal for over...

I decided it was time to close in the loft area. Tried to find some black metal siding/roofing but everything I found had a minimum order amount. A local company bends this stuff up and had a deal on galvanized so that's what I went with and I think eventually i'll still paint the ceiling black...

    Some of Bodj Built's builds

Are you spoiled with the E-start yet? Make sure you post pics of your bead roller mods. I think i'm going to go with a HF 2500lb winch motor to power mine.

    Cheapest kitchen countertop swap?

I've installed stone countertops in two different houses, bathroom and kitchen. Its not as daunting as people make it out. Prefab 8' sections would make it even easier.

    rattle_snake's random shop projects v0.1

I always hated the small stuff for the exact reasons you stated. Witches eyes when the sun is at its highest point could quickly ruin a day. Sent from my SM-G960U using The Garage Journal mobile app

Makes sense I think I'll start out and get some power power to hit and see how it goes. It sounds like your a bit of an audio guru so I have a question for you. On my Fairlane, I built a sealed box to the manufacturer specs for the sub (pic on one of the previous post). The enclosure was...

So now that the shop is becoming more and more organized, the areas that still look like disasters are starting to bug me. This are was not a priority to finish but it sounded like more fun so it go moved up the list. I've had this old bazooka bass tube since i was probably 16 or 17. My nephew...

There has been quite a few times that I wish I had a mill or milling attachment for my lathe so hopefully it gets used quite a bit.

Not sure how it compares to Utah but seeing descent used machinery is still very infrequent here and the price always reflects the lack of supply. 9x42 but it does look small there. I still haven't installed the leadscrew and handles. Even having just the lathe has spoiled me. When I first...

They laughed at my thought of an all in $1000 mill and decided to teach me a lesson. I can't complain too much, even with the 3 axis DRO, I'm still way ahead of what I could purchase a similar one for here.

    weld porosity issues

I have the same welder. Before I purchased I tried to find any and all reviews I could. I remember one youtube video where the guy had the same issue, sent it to Miller and they told him his nozzle was bad and that was changing the gas envelope. I'll try to find it.
